Saturday 18th may 1985, Wembley Stadium, a good day.
We were playing Everton in FA Cup Final, they were strong favourites.
Kevin Moran became the first person in history to be sent of in FA Cup Final for barely touching Peter Reid who went down like a sack of spuds.
It went to extra time, I was standing right behind the Everton goal, just on the right hand side of it. About 10 mins into first period of ET. We attacked down their right hand side and the ball was passed to the great Norman Whiteside who from a wide right position sent a curler in towards the opposite top corner. From the position I was in I could see from the moment it left his foot the ball was going in the top corner. My arms went up and people looked at me and a second later the ball was in the net. Cue pandemonium
We won the game 1-0 and I went home very, very happy and had a few celebratory scoops that night.
Good old Norman, unbelievably he is 60 years old today. Happy birthday Norman and thanks for a fantastic memory.

Loved big norm. I think if he hadn't got injured he could have flourished under fergie. Hard as nails i can't remember who said it maybe it was fergie but it was something like if he had another yard or 2 of pace he would have been a world beater.
