If we are offered the reported £120M from Saudi for Bruno, a player 30 going on 31 would you sell?
Me, I think it's a no brainer, sell given his age.

i would tend to agree Red Man but we would need to replace him with someone who would give us a similar return and given our current standing, especially if we don't secure champions league football, who would be available of that quality and want to join us?

I think Bruno gives us some massive spare cash to spend, someone said if we got £120 million it would equate to £80 million to spend. If we also managed to get £40 million for Rashford that could give us £360 million to spend that could be spread over any new contracts for players.
Would that be enough for Wharton, Delap, Gyorkes and maybe Cherki?
We may then get money from sales of Malacia, Sancho and Antony and also the saves wages of all players including Lindelof, Heaton and any youngsters we are releasing.
I don’t know all the ins and outs of PSR, but from what I do know it can be done.
Anyone with more knowledge let me know.

Early in the season, based on how Bruno was playing, the histrionics, especially giving the ball away in many dangerous positions, I said I would sell him. I also said a few weeks ago that he had notably improved in both aspects, credit to RA.
The question is whether £120m of pure profit, which Tumble indicated it would be, for a player who will be 31 in September, is a good decision.
Personally even though there has been an improvement, I think it’s right to sell if that is the price. Rather than selling our young players.

I think it's clear we need to raise profitable sales. We still have to pay our instalments for martinez rasmus casimero Anthony and a couple of others onana I think before we spend anything on new players this summer.
So we need to raise funds that generate 100% profit.
Rash Shaw bruno dalot mainoo garnacho maguire and any academy graduates fall into that category. At least 2 mabe 3 of those need to be sold.
I've no greater affiliation to a united player that came through the academy than I have for players purchased. All are simply assets. Tough calls need to be made and those calls will be made. Having cl income would change that scenario a bit perhaps.

And at £0 book value, as of the end of his original deal before resigning with bush that's £600m of amortised spend.
As good as Bruno is figures wise, we overly dependent on his decision naming which is often suboptimal.
The serious issue is how well would we now spend such a war chest. I'm not convinced we would do it wisely enough, and I kind of like the new mentality of needing value and not splashing money everywhere, it's not worked, ever!

If we had anyone half as good creatively I would say no to the sake but we don't even have such a player. We need to buy another creative player (Cuenha? ) to share the creative burden with Bruno. If Bruno goes who is there of his class that will sign for us? The very best players now all want champions league and the potential to win the domestic leagues. We are miles away from the latter and may not even get into the champions league. Also what will it say about the ambition of the club if they sell their best player?
