Perhaps if we throw out enough old names GSC can confirm if we have mentioned him in the thread.

6 of them mentioned are the same person so he is the vast majority of them. German regularly posts knowing what opinions people had years ago and also regularly says he “told you all that so and so isn’t good enough when we signed him” despite not even having a profile then, so pretty obviously Maze, Romanian Maverick etc for me.

It's irrelevant really who the tool is if you are so ashamed to say who you are that speaks volumes. Claims to have had conversations with me before germansuppclub was a user. I've asked what his name was at the time and he or she refuses to say which is his or her perogative.
He could be a fan of another team that trolls for fun. If that's how he/ she gets her amusement good for him/ her.

I think Germansuppclub posts are OK. Their posts offer an opinion and that's what this site is all about.
They don't come over as a troll to me.
I think there is a tendency on this site to try and keep it as a cosy club. Anyone who seems a bit against the grain can be singled out for negative attention; case in point right here!
What's the problem? Why does Dodgeybanter feel the need to start this post? Why does GDS2 keep asking about Genrmansuppclub?

Whether I agree with them or not. Everybody has their opinions and write them as they see fit.
I couldn't give a toss about who people are or what they do. Must are genuine people who come on to rant or communicate their opinions.
Posts are often read in a tone their are not written in. There are a few who are very easy to wind up?. I've met quite a few of the posters and all are good heads. There are a few who I'd never want to meet.
If German wants to refer to conversations he has had before german existed why not just say what his user name was at the time? But we all have our own odd traits so if that's his so be it.

In fairness now MancMan I’ve been here for over a decade and GDS and Dodgy are long term posters.
German sounds suspiciously similar to someone who intermittently returns here with different usernames and pretends they’re not who they obviously are.

Also, Danny - you're completely right. I'm just pointing out that I don't think it's right for Dodgy and GDS to be singling out Germansuppclub for special attention. Ironically, it makes them the trolls.
What I was trying to say (probably poorly), is that it's just as illegitimate to question them as to who they think they are, as it is to question Germansuppclub (who I don't think is MAZE) .

Does it matter who German is or was? We are nearly all anonymous, hidden behind names. Some have come back after bans. I won’t lose any sleep if German is Maze or anyone else, it’s an opinion that someone holds, whatever name they hide behind. If it is an opinion some don’t agree with well we all have different ones, hell I should know given the vitriol I have had sometimes. Unless German steps over the mark, or was banned for something that means they shouldn’t come back, in which the Ed’s will deal with it, then let it ride.
{Ed007's Note - It matters when he keeps bring up conversations he's supposedly had with people with no proof of them ever happening, it matters because of the smug undertone of his posts about other posters again about posts/topics/conversation that he's made up in his head, there's no proof of him ever being right about anything.

He keeps saying “I tried telling you that you were all wrong” but that’s supposedly before he had an account so must be a previous poster. If so then just say who, otherwise you’re saying ‘I told you so’ which is really smug and odd without any back up.
The only reason he wouldn’t say who he was previously is if that person was banned from the site which Maze, Romanian Maverick etc etc were, and that was the person / troll that used to only post negativity and call out Shappy constantly.

Nobody, and I repeat nobody has ever stopped anyone from having an opinion, it would be mad to come on a forum and stop people speaking their mind, it’s literally what this place is for. I prefer balanced opinions rather than just slagging all of the players at all times but if that’s how you feel your kicks then it’s not for anyone else to question.
As Bond has said when you keep telling us you were right years ago when you told us it’s just weird if you don’t back that up. Once again, your prerogative but don’t get all offended and defensive when people call it out.

I agree it's a bit rude for GermanSuppclub not to explain their previous identity but I don't think it warrants the constant inquiry.

I started the post as an excuse to remember some of the old names of people here. A bit of fun. Not so fussed who German was really, and generally happy to see contradicting views in here. Only time the page gets boring is when noone is posting or everyone agrees! Luckily that doesn't happen so often.

German, what utter nonsense. Of course an opinion can be right or wrong.
If my opinion was that the sky is green and the grass is purple then that opinion is factually wrong, and I'd expect to be called out on it.
Any opinion is only as valid as the evidence supporting it. People have a right to hold an opinion that has little to no validity, but that opinion isn't factually correct and they should be called out on that and given the opportunity to learn why that opinion doesn't hold any weight.
We cannot live in a society where everyone's opinion is equally valid, if we did then how would could we police it?
What happens when someone's opinion is that murdering someone whose upset them is acceptable?
Or when someone argues that they're racist opinion is as valid as anyone else's opinion and that they should be allowed to display racist behaviour?
Maybe it's my opinion that Manchester United won the treble this year? Does that mean that I should be able to see the trophies on the stadium tour?
