Hands up then if you still want us to sell Fernandes ?.

Agree5 Disagree0

I was one who did and have changed my position. That mainly has come from Bruno not giving the ball away like he used to. A masterclass in coaching from RA seems to have improved Bruno notably.

18 Apr 2025 14:16:11
Ports, how about his terrible Rabona effort of a pass when he had a simple pass out to Dorgu that had a much better chance of creating a scoring attack. He always wants to do the complicated thing, so yes, he is still a problem.

These last few weeks he has been much MUCH better and it has come from him keeping his game more simple and sticking more to his position.

I hope he stays and continues to trust his team mates more, and is more prepared to be patient and move the ball around looking for better chances. I really want the 25-30 yard shots straight into a defender to stop. Mercurial player yes, but best when keeping his game more simple.

18 Apr 2025 15:09:27
No doubt his overall play has improved under Amorin.
Better coaching he has also played deeper and that suits him too.

Do you still yearn for eth ports?

18 Apr 2025 15:38:01
I was partially for selling him, mainly due to his petulance and the clubs potential need to raise money for PSR purposes, although as a laat resort.

Bruno has found himself again under RA. Utd certainly don't do things the easy way. I'm still buzzing.

18 Apr 2025 15:44:46
If anyone thinks Bruno is a problem…. well the mind boggles.

18 Apr 2025 15:47:13
He also slotted that penalty away under enormous pressure. I don't want to take for granted his penalty taking, because it makes a huge difference in these cups.

18 Apr 2025 16:31:57
He's really stepped up, leading by example.

18 Apr 2025 17:50:03
Exactly ajh. He has.

18 Apr 2025 18:13:24
It was a great penalty, Dodgy. Only place their very tall keeper couldn't reach it. Under that pressure as well, to strike it so sweetly.

18 Apr 2025 18:48:19
I think Bruno's biggest issue previously was that if he didn't do something no-one else would. I reckon he felt like he was the only person willing to try something so had to do the spectacular every time he had the ball. Now there seems to be a better structure to the team and he can retain possession without feeling like nothing will happen. There's no doubt in terms of game changing output he's far and away our most important player. If we can add another couple who even come close to his numbers we'll be much better off next season.

18 Apr 2025 20:19:47
It was cassemiro who assisted Mainoo and harry, and who won the penalty. Garnacho, bruno and probably even amad would have probably shot instead of crossing to Harry. I've been a huge critic of cassemiro too, mainly due to his legs having gone and him losing the ball in dangerous positions. Very happy that he proved me and many others wrong yesterday with a MOM performance for the ages.

18 Apr 2025 20:41:10
Only player i'd keep tbh, and that's a huge swing for me as i could not stand him. Some things he's been doing recently I've been liking off the pitch, taking some people out for dinner that were made redundant. Its not a lot but it shows a bit of reality from him.
On the pitch he is the only one that shows up every game, i’d play him up front, he probably would score a lot, he’d demand the ball.

18 Apr 2025 21:15:48
A masterclass in coaching.
23 points in 21 games. Okay redman.

18 Apr 2025 22:10:57
Casemiro has really upped his game in recent weeks too - but like the Cas we saw when he arrived. He can’t play 2 games a week sadly, but he’s playing much better along with Bruno.

Garnacho unlucky - he’s knackered but he’s currently our only outlet now we let Rashford move on. His assist fir Ugarte’s goal was class. His miss at 2-0 was a classic legs had gone after doing all the hard work.

I think Amorim will bring in the young lads now in the league to give sone players a break rest for the Europa League.

Oh and what a win - this club is still bloody magical.

18 Apr 2025 22:51:16
I'll say it again . Our best player by a country mile.

{Ed025's Note - dead right he is Deano, to be fair he is the only player in the team who would get in one of the top sides mate...harsh but true..

18 Apr 2025 23:08:51
Tohats s not true ed025 you and I both know we would put onana in the Liverpool team in the morning.

{Ed025's Note - we would ken...im not sure Slot would though mate.. :)

19 Apr 2025 05:17:06
Ed025, he was a massive problem according to some on here a few months ago lol.

Bruno is the very least of our worries. The only true too class we have had in years. What a player.

{Ed025's Note - without him Angel you look like relegation candidates mate, i cant think of one other player i would want from your team...and i support Everton ffs..

19 Apr 2025 10:02:07
Mad people think Bruno and Dalot are somehow a problem at UTD easily the best players there without Bruno especially be even lower in the the league table the only pair of players i could see holding there own at a top club like Bayern etc.

19 Apr 2025 10:56:48
angelred he was indeed a problem with his petulance, histrionics, and always looking for the worldy instead of keeping it simple and not surrendering possession in dangerous areas. Worldys are entertaining if they come off but more often than not they don't. I am very much with Red Man in this.

19 Apr 2025 11:02:38
The problem with Bruno was his frustration would boil over, he has managed to curb that over the last few months and focussed he energies better.

While he is our best player by a country mile, he is 31 this year and we have to start planning now for life after he leaves or his performance levels drop.

Mount should be the obvious replacement, but he has never been consistently fit.

{Ed025's Note - or good enough Grim..

19 Apr 2025 11:38:47
Bruno has NEVER been the problem, I think the issue was that when he signed he scored a ridiculous amount of goals (albeit a lot were penalties) . Which meant when his numbers returned to something more normal fans felt he was in poor form.

The team then started to suffer and played really poorly, and while Bruno was the one carry the team on his back at times, he was also held accountable for every loss. Somehow his passing success rate became the centre focus and this idea that we were a poor team because he lost the ball too often became a weird thing.

What people ignore is that he is a creative midfielder, someone whose job it is to create chances for his teammates. Something he has been genuinely world class at during his entire time at the club. To the level where no player in the EPL has created more shooting opportunities in the league than Bruno since he signed for the club. When you look at the numbers it's actually by a pretty wide margin.

He also runs himself into the ground, looks after himself, is rarely injured or unavailable, and always gives his all.

He has been let down by his teammates, both in missing chances he creates for them, and giving away silly goals that cost the team points.

When people point to him giving the ball away, they often ignore that he's done that in the oppositions defensive third, they've then gone through our midfield, past our defence and beaten our keeper. Yet somehow Bruno is the one to blame for the goal not the other 8 or so players who also failed at their job and allowed the goal to be conceded.

I think he is settling well into a deeper role when he plays there, his passing is safer (but still creative) and he really helps us move the ball through midfield. This shouldn't come as a surprise though as he has often played deeper for Portugal to great effect.

He has really stepped up as captain as well, he has reduced how often he uses the sh1thousery that tends to annoy many fans. He is a leader, one of the few.

Tactically versatile, capable of playing behind the striker or deeper in midfield, extremely creative and a leader. Definitely not the problem, and someone who is worth keeping around, as long as he wants to be here.

19 Apr 2025 11:18:32
Without our points from the start of the season ed, we would have been further down the table IMO. Amorim has given a masterclass in coaching in regards to Bruno, apparently, like he hasn't always performed like that over the years, beggars belief. But where has the masterclass in coaching been for the rest of the squad, 23 points in 21 games.

{Ed025's Note - i dont know about a masterclass Angel, Amorim has inherited quite a lot of dross mate but Bruno has been your only outstanding player, he seems to have calmed down a bit but i dont know whether thats down to the manager or if its that he has matured mate..

19 Apr 2025 12:40:49
Shappy

Bruno surrendered possession very regularly in dangerous positions, caused pressure on us, free kicks, goals against so I cannot agree he was “never the problem”.

19 Apr 2025 13:12:24
I don’t mind him playing with risk.

If we remove that from his game you’re left with a grealish type player.

19 Apr 2025 13:18:34
Angel still ploughing you own little furrow. Lovely to see. Really quite amusing. Amorim and eth have the exact same points per game this season although eth won no euro games and we would be out long ago if eth had stayed.
League is irrelevant for the rest of this season. He will continue to risk resting players and keep the focus on the EL in the outside chance we have to win it.
The team will do better next season once some of the awful dross eth brought in is sold off.
Bruno should continue to improve under better direction and the team as a whole will improve next year.
This won't suit the here and now cry babies that don't have the patience understanding and vision but real football fans can see and understand it.

19 Apr 2025 14:39:47
??? your last sentence Ken, from you of all people. Amazing.

19 Apr 2025 16:30:46
Ports I've all the patience in the world for the right people. This is the 1st manager we have had since fergie that has the vision and courage of his convictions. If it's the wrong person like it was with ole and eth then I've zero patience because they were the wrong person. It took a while for the penny to drop with eth for some but he was never the man he had not got the qualities required .

19 Apr 2025 16:52:29
My own little furrow? I think there's plenty that find it okay to not be hanging out the back of a manager who has 23 points in 21 games.

You can say "we would have been out of Europe long ago" but you have no facts to back that up only an opinion, which of course, like all of us on here are entitled to have.

Oh unless of course it doesn't jive with certain posters ?

I am in no doubt that RA is here to stay and IMO that's the right call because we have been down this road too many times, but putting Bruno's form down to his masterclass is very amusing. And "real football fans" are also able to call out his atrocious record up until this point.

Ports, I had a proper giggle myself at that one ??.

19 Apr 2025 16:54:02
Ed025, he is in a class of his own and I feel a lot of his turning over of possession comes down to him wanting to take everything upon his shoulders and also him trying to make the dangerous pass in nearly every situation.

But the so called "real football fans" on here wanted him gone. , incredible stuff ?.

{Ed025's Note - he has not got much around him mate thats why he has to take chances..

19 Apr 2025 22:04:19
Angel you seem to misread readily.
