So looking for some posters to give me some expert opinions. Ericksen, Heaton and Evan's to leave this summer, no sell on value but maybe around £100000 a week saved on wages. Antony, £40 million would be amazing, not sure the saving on wages. Rashford, £35 million and £250000 a week saved on wages?, Sancho, £30 million and £250000 a week saved on wages. If we can get £100 million in transfer fees and save £100 million a week in wages, what does that look like in regards to spending this summer?

I know we over pay…. But 100 million a week in wages is pushing it!

The wages save on that lot, sadly, is not £100m a week. It would be approx £1m per week, still a very decent figure £52m a year. Lindelof's contract expires this summer that is another £6m per year.
Think we will try and move Casemiro on also, that would be another £15m a year.
There may be other sales seeing a potential salary reduction of approx £80m to £90m. This would clearly give substantial scope to cover wages of a number of new players, while also achieving a reduction in the overall wages bill.
In terms of transfer fees, with £100m in sales (hopefully more will come) we could, in theory, spend £400m in transfer fees for new player's to stay within financial rules. I think we will spend a considerable amount this summer, just my view, of course time will tell, only a few month's to go!

I really don’t understand why any supporters get hung up about salary’s it’s out of all proportion to the average supporter, its numbers that most don’t even understand or comprehend.
The only numbers worth worrying about are the points and goals columns that’s about the only maths supporters need to concern themselves with. All clubs employ far more educated accountants than the people lurking on these pages.

You don't understand why supporters are interested in finances?
Given the massive relevance and importance of this subject to the success or otherwise of a club it would seem to be an interest entirely reasonable and understandable.
You say the only numbers worthy of interest should be points and goals columns, well given the relevance of finances to these columns it is perfectly natural to show an interest.
You seem to be disparaging towards the intelligence of football fans, perhaps you feel the hoi polloi do not deserve to understand this matter.
I do find it somewhat pompous when someone tells others what they should or should not show interest in. It suggests they feel they are the only ones to understand the subject matter and to suggest you know the level of intelligence of others is arrogant in the extreme.

As Ed02 always used to say, don’t get involved with the finances, we know there will be a big turnover of players this summer, let’s hope the club have identified some hidden gems for next season.

Why worry about something you have zero control over, it’s not even worth the headspace, and I am sorry if you don’t like the remark something most don’t understand but you confirmed that yourself with the 100 million wages saving, so you exactly prove my point….

It most certainly does not prove your point.
The base premise remains you do not get to tell people what they can or cannot discuss, and if it is not worth the headspace then why do you keep commenting on it.
Who knows, you may well have plenty of spare headspace.
