3 points off 17th in the league. Let that sink in.
I don't care what anyone says, but ETH and Ole weren't even this bad.

I absolutely hate the idea of changing manager again but this guy isn't the answer.
Forget this 'style of play' bulls##t. He's setting this team up week in, week out. We're outplayed and out classed by literally every team we face and the few highlights this season have been when our backs are really up against the wall and we've pulled off some underdog performances.

The players aren't up to standard but so far neither is this manager.

Agree12 Disagree0

2toms you have just answered your own post

“The players aren't good enough”

This is a pop at your btw

But let’s be real these player bar I would say 5 at most in the whole squad cannot play any system or any formation you can see it week in week out some players simply are not good enough for this club

Im sick to death of hearing people moaning about “these players can’t play the way Amorim wants they can’t play 3 at the back

The system isn’t not the issue it’s the players and untill the core of the crap are replaced it doesn’t matter what manager comes in.

Answer me this right, pep comes in to this team do you think he would change the way he wants to play to suit the players or would he play his way and replace the players who cannot play that way?

Would Klopp change the way he wants to play or replace the players that can’t fit the way he wants to play?

We Brought ten hag in beciase he played good football that was front foot and attacking possession based and what did he do a few games into it? He changed his style to suit the players becoase he was to afraid to change

What did we actually achieve under ole? Because we had a fair few games where we looked good and had the odd good game against city?

City have always struggled against us when we sit deep and play counter football we did it for years under fergie against Arsenal.

We won naf all with ole and played a style of football that won us nothing and people seem to have short memories of how bad we were under ole we got hammered in games

And some of those players are still here now, no coincidence is it?

How can you change the culture and philosophy if we have the same trash that’s been here since ole, Jose, ralf. ten hag.

Bear in mind Amorim has had 1 player a kid who’s what 20? 22…

People were calling out for ten hag to be booted and we’re buzzing when Amorim came in…

Look again today the goals we conceded, 3 were mistakes by the players and 1 came from poor decision making with a pass.

We’ve got forwards who are championship level and some expect us to be doing better

Look at the stats how many players have scored 10 league goals?

This squad that’s been assembled is pants. the worst Manchester United in prem history and it’s been assembled by idiots and a guy has come in and you can see what he wants to play (we all cried out for a way of playing btw, there’s 100s of posts on here demanding it)

It’s pretty obvious what the issue is. and it isn’t the manager.

But hey let’s get rid of him when he’s not had the chance to do a thing.

13 Apr 2025 23:32:19
Both of you are right. but these players just get worse and worse. 14th in mid April is absolutely shocking on -7 goal difference. let's face it, utd is dead thanks to the glazers and the rat.

14 Apr 2025 00:11:49
NOT a pop. auto correct sorry pal.

14 Apr 2025 00:38:27
Nick,

United aren’t dead at all, what a ludicrous statement after a bad season, we got Amorim mid season knowing full well what could happen, he quite clearly selected a team today with Thursday in mind and quite rightly, I don’t think any team in the premier league wins a game with Lindelof and Eriksen playing 90 minutes in 2025, Amorim knows that but also knows they won’t play a minute on Thursday.

14 Apr 2025 05:30:42
The season was gone ages ago RA knew this like we all did, he is not blind, all his eggs are in Europa basket, he got no choice but to try for that and forget all else, even that’s going to be a huge task with this bunch and no striker

It should never have been allowed to get to United having no strikers apart from Rasmus, who was never good enough, but none of that or this awful squad that’s been assembled is RA thought, he just got given these cards

I admire him for sticking to his guns and clearly wrote the season off, he probably could have changed won maybe a game or two, but what would that have achieved, he got his principles, so stick with him or the idiots above can start over again!

14 Apr 2025 06:59:49
For the first time we have a manager who has a style of play, stands by it, sees the players for what they are, not good enough. Once we had two top keepers now none, once four top strikers, now none. Once we had midfield players who would get in all time teams, now none.

Wake up to Glazer utopia, this mess is 15 plus years of no value by SAF who left a mess followed by Hollywood productions buying players who sounded nice.

At some point it needed what SAF did in the 80’s, and now it’s happening. We have a very good young coach, who is changing things that needed doing. If Ratcliffe and co don’t give him time then utter shame on them for being the same level of idiots they replaced. He needs time and the insanity of appointing Ole made us worse not better.

14 Apr 2025 07:57:36
All his eggs are in the Europa basket? What a shocking thing to say. What if your Europa basket turns into a Europa defeat?
The idea is to finish as high in the League as possible?
Do you think this man will get you to another League title? and if so, when?
You can count yourselves lucky that there are 3 or 4 teams worse than you, else you'd be in the bottom 3
Keep on about his system. His system is sh#te, and that's why you find yourselves where you are with a manager that is out of his depth.

14 Apr 2025 07:59:11
Bolger3, I haven’t answered anything. I wasn’t asking any questions. I was just ranting my thoughts on the current state of things.

Manchester United shouldn’t be righting off seasons. The manager and players are paid handsomely to be competitive.

14 Apr 2025 08:13:03
And what exactly are his principles @Germansppclub?

14 Apr 2025 09:38:35
German your spot on why change to something that he won’t play next season just to get a few extra wins?

We are to impatient as a fan base it’s ridiculous we’ve been poor for over a decade won the odd cup here and there so why all of a sudden are we demanding to be challenging now…

Even when we got the likes of weghorst on loan and igahlo it’s been happening for years money has been spent in the wrong areas consistently and now look

Makes 0 sense to blame the manager when the group he’s inherited and made up of the last 3 managers players

It is laughable.

14 Apr 2025 10:36:36
Totally agree Red Man.

Amorim came in mid season to a complete mess: players with no physicality brought in by different managers.

Yet we are starting to see the fruits of his coaching already with the vague resemblance of a tactical system (even though players not up to implementing it)

Give Amorim the players he needs in the Summer and move on those unable to fit his system.

Bring in younger, physical players who want to achieve, not just take a well paid semi retirement at Inited.

I firmly believe that, given the right players, we’ll make top 4 next year.

14 Apr 2025 10:59:20
Top 4 next year? I love the optimism, and I do believe that a couple of solid signings in the key positions would improve things tremendously. But top 4, when we need at least half a dozen better players, when every other team is also going to improve, and when our budget rests on winning the Europa which is the difference between signing a few decent players or rummaging around in the bargain buckets all summer. such a drastic turnaround sounds like the stuff of fairytales to me, but bring it on!

14 Apr 2025 11:32:01
Top 4 next year? I'm struggling to see any green shoots right now, there's the odd 20 minutes but generally we look poor. I think this will be a long hard slog.

14 Apr 2025 12:01:49
If you look at the ever growing quality of the league, it gets harder every year. There’s at least 8 sides better than us so aiming for that 6-8 place would be the height of my ambition for next season. Just being honest.

14 Apr 2025 12:05:13
No chance of top 4 next season, we need to get our targets, bed them in and build a team, that won’t happen in a summer transfer window.

What we need to see on that pitch is a team that plays for one another, it’s been a rarity over the last few seasons.

Honestly I was hoping Amorim would have had more of an impact, maybe more is happening behind the scenes than we realise, but next season could be an issue if we continue like this.

14 Apr 2025 19:36:18
Style? I really struggle to see a style of play.

15 Apr 2025 04:21:49
Whats the point in his style of play if it dosent work and requires another full rebuild after THs full rebuild to see if it works with 11 new players why do UTD always do things the hard way picking these unknown hipsters like TH and Amo who think they're reinventing the wheel with there systems . Hopefully his rebuild will be better than THs whos was borderline criminal imo to line his brothers agency pockets.
