Marcus Rashford against Preston, it was like watching Messi, he was unbelievable. Yes yes, it was only Preston, and yes yes, t was a tap in and a penalty but even so, he was amazing.

I wonder what some of these pundits are on, he did ok but they were wetting themselves over him. Good luck to the lad but an ok performance doesn't merit the platitudes being thrown at him.

Agree11 Disagree0

He was amazing AJH. Completely revitalised. He'd be a steal for any club that'd like to sign him for 80M. Or 120M at that.
Now leave those pundits alone!

30 Mar 2025 17:14:58
The media bias against Utd is laughable. How many games has he played at Villa before todays 2 absolute worldie goals against probably the best ever team to grace a pitch
Hope he keeps scoring and there is a bidding war
Good riddance.

30 Mar 2025 19:34:11
I am pleased he is happy and doing well, regardless of whether that is real or hype. If his reputation can be built back up then we might get more money at the end of the season with a bidding war.
Rashford is a good lad and good player, it is also right for him to leave and progress his career elsewhere.
Win win all round.

30 Mar 2025 19:55:54
Donred,

Absolutely agree, I hope Villa want him immediately for as much money as possible. His last good game for us was against Barnsley, think the lad has found his level.

30 Mar 2025 21:22:26
Fair play, let's have him imitate Messi so we can maximise his value, it it p1sses me off he suddenly seems motivated when he has been apathetic for us for over 2 years.

30 Mar 2025 21:35:43
he has found his level alright, CL quarter final's, FA. Cup semi finals, and challenging for a top 4 finish. LOL.

30 Mar 2025 23:46:11
Didi,

He’s scored 2 goals against Preston, the team is doing ok, he’s been average but at least he’s putting some effort in. Frustrating he couldn’t be arsed to do that for his home town club.

Villa are 9th by the way.

31 Mar 2025 00:06:31
I've no bitterness towards him i don't think anybody should have. I hope he does well and gets the move he wants and all parties are happy and can move on.
It's been a good day for him and for villa. I'm pleased for them. Should we all not be?
He's yesterday's man as far as united go. Good times here at times but a bad ending. Best of luck to him and I hope he gets the move he wants.

31 Mar 2025 00:31:13
Imagine he is reacquainted with his passion for the game, brings his smile back to the pitch, and he has a realisation that life at his boyhood club is worth fighting for and getting utd back to where they belong.
His attitude has stunk, he has had issues to contend with, and as the old saying goes, 'a change is as good as a rest'.
Imagine he understands that football gives him an out from whatever else he is dealing with.
Imagine all that, and he comes back to OT and he is the player that bags 20-30 a year. I'd keep him if he is banging goals/ assists in.
I know a lot will say he isn't the player he once was etc.
But if he could bring that back, surely be is worth another year, especially if no one wants to buy him.

31 Mar 2025 02:21:54
You lot are hilarious. Villa may be 9th but they are only 4 points away from 4th with 9 games left to go. Maybe being out of the race for top 4 for so long may have made you forget but that still means that they are challenging for a top 4 spot. For context too, you all are 13th, just 4 places away from villa but are 8 points behind.

Don't get me wrong though. While I used to like Rashford as a player, he seems to have lost his way the past few years and was a shadow of the player he was when he first burst onto the scene. He seems to be playing with enthusiasm now again though and I am glad that he is, even though I don't think he can hit the highs of his previous seasons and become the player he had the potential to be. Still, it is nice to see that he enjoys his football once again.

31 Mar 2025 07:33:51
Well, that's the Ballon d'Or sorted.

31 Mar 2025 10:34:04
Dracred,

So your first paragraph says we are all hilarious then your 2nd paragraph agrees with everything we have all said. You seem confused. I never said Villa aren’t challenging for top 4, but they are 9th and Rashford has 2 goals against Preston yet the press would have you believe he’s back to his best. He was shocking for England but again at least he was trying.

I don’t think you can blame any united fans for not being huge fans of the lad after watching him put no effort in for the club for 18 months whilst on £350k a week.

31 Mar 2025 12:09:53
Well I'm pleased for the guy. Of course he's lost his way at United, his financial reward for 'that' stellar season has now made things unsustainable alongside an alarming drop in form. But there's a great player in there somewhere if Emery can coax it out again and I believe there's a decent guy in there too. If they go through with it they get a very good player (would love to be a fly on the wall during contract talks) and we get money to reinvest. Good luck to him I say.

31 Mar 2025 12:52:19
Let's be honest, if he had 2 goals and 4 assists in 14 games for us he would be getting absolutely slaughtered by the pundits ? I hope we get every penny we can for him and move on .

31 Mar 2025 23:07:03
Er no Spenno. There isn't a great player in there. Anywhere.

31 Mar 2025 23:09:52
And also Spenno, why are you wishing him luck. Walk ball Rashford has taken the michael out of everyone who has paid/ bothered to watch Man Utd for the last two seasons. Screw him.

31 Mar 2025 23:38:49
Hell hath no fury like a Utd fan scorned to paraphrase an old saying.

Let Rashford rebuild his career without the vitriol. For reasons we will probably never know he lost his way at Utd. He didn't kill anyone. Let's be bug enough to wish him luck and move on.

31 Mar 2025 23:56:04
If he had 2 goals and 4 assists for UTD his contract would be getting doubled that's WC form compared to UTDs current front players that's more than Hoijlund and Zirkzee combined.

01 Apr 2025 00:43:01
Brum / German,

It’s not more than both combined though is it?

01 Apr 2025 09:07:51
Let's hope that Rashford goes on a good goal scoring and assist run.

01 Apr 2025 09:38:44
Come on Manc. You're better than that.
I'm not saying he's great right now, far from it and he's rightly been sent elsewhere, but you don't score 30 goals in the English top flight if you can't cut the mustard.

01 Apr 2025 13:59:14
Rashford rattling people on here again ? it's unbelievable. He is gone, playing well for Villa and you're still talking about him. Let it go lads.

GDS, you're proper rattled by him ?.

01 Apr 2025 15:09:00
Don't think anybody is rattled and it's a bit of a dumb comment.
People have opinions but are not rattled at all i'm quite sure gds2 is not rattled but has his views.
2 goals against preston In 14 games and 4 assists is not great but he has done ok. He has done worse for villa than he has done for us this session so not sure he has improved at all. Stats can be misleading at times. Yesterday's news as far as united are concerned. I for one would like to see him do well elsewhere as i generally like to see people do well.
I'd be delighted if villa win a cl or fa cup as I was for Newcastle fans when they won a cup.
Horrible thing about football supporters and press particularly English ones is that they don't like to see anybody do well except their own team. It's a bit sad very parochial. It's nice imo to see people doing well and I don't feel the need to knock them.
Ideally it's not Liverpool I want to see win things but when they do, for me it's a case of saying well done and now we must rise to the challenge of getting above the teams that have caught us and passed us out.

01 Apr 2025 16:00:45
If you say so Ken ? I think different.

02 Apr 2025 01:48:11
Rashford has put in more effort on 3 months for Villa than he has in 18 months for Utd and that's what I think rattles you all the most. Antony seems to be enjoying his time away out on loan as well. So maybe, the problem aren't the players but the club as a whole.

Btw GDS, the dig at Villa being "only" 9th seems to be in reply to Didido's comment on Villa's level. Their level is much higher than yours this season so to suggest that Rashford has found his, are you implying that he deserves better than what Utd are at the moment? ;)

That's what I find so hilarious. You all are taking digs at players who are doing better after they have left you and taking digs at clubs who are having a better season than you.
