Nkunku for me is a no brainer if available. he's a goalscorer! If we don’t sign a striker I feel we are in a real relegation scrap. If god forbid Amad or Bruno get injured and we don’t have another striker in the door we may aswell rely on the goalkeeper for goals! Not really keen on selling to a rival but at this stage I think it’s vital we get a striker in the door, almost at all costs!

The general perception here appears to be that he is a candidate to room with Shaw and Mount in the injury suite. A tad injury prone apparently.
I do agree with the need for a goal scorer.

We aren’t in a relegation scrap and it’s unlikely that we will end up being. I’m not sure Nkunku is the answer especially at the prices I am seeing, too risky for a player who’s had injury issues.
25 Jan 2025 11:28:20
The perception here ha ha ha
Perception of a bunch spanners who know little or nothing about anything football related ha ha ha.
25 Jan 2025 11:52:38
Let’s buy another player who misses more games than he starts and hasn’t exactly shone when he has played.
25 Jan 2025 12:17:15
There you go. Ken reverted to type again.
One day all are allowed, by him, their own opinion and he will respect it. The next he regards one as either blind, foolish, stupid or a spanner. Get back on your meds' Ken. So glad that such an ITK chap as yourself is here to keep us educated. I apologise for assuming that you're a 'chap'. It's difficult to know sometimes.

A 27 year old who's scored over 20 goals in a league only one time. sounds familiar right?
Not exactly prolific is it. Just like rashford. So God knows where you get the idea that Nkunku is a goalscorer.
25 Jan 2025 12:48:41
Injury problems or not he hasn’t been that great since joining Chelsea. Probably needs a run of games as there was a player in there previously.
25 Jan 2025 12:49:20
Come on ken, you're better than that mate.
25 Jan 2025 13:20:56
We may as well keep Rashford than do any stupid deals like this.
25 Jan 2025 13:57:09
I couldn’t agree more. Signing Nkunku is exactly the kind of move that somebody with no brain would make.
25 Jan 2025 17:25:07
I think it very much depends on what kind of deal it is and whether he is a player of genuine interest or just a reactionary signing because he's available.
If we sign him on a permanent deal on big wages as a reaction to losing Garnacho with him not previously being considered a player we should target then that sounds like a mistake.
If he is a player the club feel suits the team and the manager and they have tracked him for a long time but didn't think he was a viable target. But he has become available? Then that casts a very different light on it.
Personally if we lose Garnacho then we will need to bring someone in to replace him in January as we already look light in the forward positions. That's without considering Rashford seem highly likely to leave as well.
The problem is that it's difficult to get top targets in January. I like the idea of signing Cunha for example as he seems a good fit for Amorim. Yet the chances Wolves will sell him for anything other than a massively inflated fee in January while they are fighting for their EPL survival seems slim at best.
So do we sign a player who isn't really good enough or just muddle through very short on bodies and quality until the summer? Neither seem like an ideal solution.
Maybe agreeing to take a player like Nkunku on loan until the summer to fill the gap might be the best solution. Ideally without an obligation to buy in the summer.
Nkunku is a very good player who has excelled in a 343/ 3421 system previously in Germany so at least knows how to play in that shape. He has shown himself to be a very good player and an excellent finisher, the downside is his patchy injury record.
Garnacho hasn't really been first choice under Amorim, but rather a good option off the bench. Nkunku would offer at least that, but with potential to be more. Not an awful roll of the dice when we have very few options.
25 Jan 2025 18:27:16
I advocated for Nkunku a while back but understand the concerns over injuries. I think he suits the system Amorim plays and would fit well.
If it is Garnacho out on full sale with Nkunku coming in on loan for the season and we make a call in the summer then I am good with it.
As happy says we would need to know whether he was a player we have looked at for a while, rumours of us asking to be kept informed go back to December so does feel more concrete.
25 Jan 2025 18:59:28
Unfortunately, it's a deal that the idiots at utd will most likely to do. I'm just given up even caring niw.
25 Jan 2025 19:02:14
such a dumb thing to do. I get it if we have to sell because of our financials but garna for nkunku is just plane ridiculous stuff.
25 Jan 2025 19:34:13
Personally, I'd prefer the dice rolled Felix's way.
One thing we lack is depth in the 'imagination' department. Hojlund is a real grafter with pace and power, but he needs decent service to get the goals tally I consider him capable of.
● We're currently having to frequently make do on the flanks with two RBs who aren't really known for their attacking prowess.
● We have only Fernandes capable of providing consistent creativity in attack.
● Mount, as an option, cannot stay fit and, with that in mind, the suggested swap of Nkunku and Garna is, imo, as daft as jelly because we'd be risking having another resident on the treatment table while shifting one of few players in our squad capable of presenting a different attacking vibe when so required.
Since we bought Mount, we've been consistently linked with players they either don't rate or can't keep fit - Cucurella, Chilwell, now we have Nkunku and Felix.
It would be Felix or nothing for me.
Better with both feet, better vision, far better passing range, more robust and capable of playing up top.
I don't think Garnacho will ever be a CR7, but I'd be fuming if the club mugged themselves, and us, off with another Chelsea player who's about as flimsy as Trump’s sphincter.
Nkunku? The same Nkunku who missed over 3 quarters of last season due to a variety of reasons, including 9 games missed through 'fitness' (wtf? )? The same Nkunku who's gametime has been managed this season to reduce his PL starts to 3 from 18 apps? The same Nkunku with 13 goals in all domestic comps, but with only 2 coming against opposition of better quality than League 1?
Can we afford to carry another player with a need for workload to be managed in such a way?
Chelsea would be laughing like drains if they could select two of our better players while we opt for a second injury-prone player they don't really rate.
Nah, not having that. ?????.
26 Jan 2025 08:25:28
Ken said collyer wouldn’t even get 100 minutes this season so you really should take his statements as gospel ? I’m just waiting for him to drop in that Amorim wasn’t his choice ?.
26 Jan 2025 11:30:31
angelred, he isn't.
Ports, you aren't alone ?.
26 Jan 2025 11:41:10
I gave up when you rated Rasmus! Seriously being a grafter is what gets you to be united number 9 nowadays! I’m not even convinced he is a useful grafter, seems totally clueless to me, waste too much energy rolling around and wrestling instead of intelligent running, he is poor striker I was polite before saying 1 in 4 or 5 finisher in fact reality shows maybe 1 in 10.
