Amorim needs time
We are looking better on the ball but that’s took away our only previous goal threat - the long ball over the top.
The squad needs refreshing
The real gaff was not making this change at the end of last season and getting a new manager and players that suit his system
A fish rots at its head and Ineos aren’t much better than the previous lot

Let’s remember it’s not his squad and they have had 4 sessions to train
No excuse but I am glad there has been no new manager bounce the powers at bay can finally see what kind of pretenders we have.

I hate to be a knee jerker, but RA looks like a rabbit in headlights. His selections are becoming baffling, and his comments reflect that. He seems completely list.

I think this year will be a tough one but hopefully the ownership group have the courage of their convictions and stick by Amorim and work out what is needed as I like him as a coach and think he will be successful given time.
They knew that he would bring a new system with him that would not suit a lot of the players, if they thought we would not have struggles then they really are deluded considering their roles at the club. They would have seen the players in training with EtH and known what was coming. did they think it would be quite as bad results wise probably not. let's also remember Amorim would have prefered to have waited and come in at the end of the season as he knew it would be hard to impliment his style during the season.
They know that they need to clear out a large number of players who either don't perform or are on wages that are not justified any more. again have the courage of your convictions and clear these players out (either in January or Summer if value is better then) . Clearing out some players will clear high wages and could get in a decent amount (lets not kid ourselves that we have any player who will bring in £60/ 70m unless Saudi's come calling - but we have a few who would bring in £30/ 40m and are not cutting it) . Then it is up to the scouting to trust they can get the right players in, whether unearthing someone from the lesser leagues or the right player in a position of need that we may have to pay for.
When it comes to my club I am an eternal optimist (becoming harder with time) .

It's anything but amorims fault ajh and equaliser. Fergie himself would not get a tune out of these pretenders.

the lack of goal threat is THE issue, of why we are in free fall. We need strikers, that is more than one, if we are to turn this around. Hoijlund gives 100% no doubt about that, which is a minimum of what we expect. Zirkzee is just not good enough for the EPL, not his fault and should never have been booed off the field.
Jose had this lot marked, he wanted rid of Martial, Rashford and Pogba, he knew he was not going to be able to mould them to his style of play.
You could point the finger at Ole, sit deep and hit on the counter and that is what this squad are best at but not what the present and the former managers want a team to be like.
Maybe over the next few weeks RA will get the chance for the coaching sessions he wants and with some of the younger players to join in, maybe.
What I do not want to see, is the team reverting to the counter attack, RA needs time and possibly a few additions to get on top of this and implement a controlled and positive way of playing.
