What's frustrating is l don't see any impact from our wing backs in games, again today, neither wing backs got forward. In the midfield l do think Urgarte is doing very well, but if one of the 2 midfielders moves forward one of the wing backs must come inside and cover. The back 3 must also take responsibility and pick up attackers, again today they seemed to sit together and get the wing backs pick up their forward players once they moved wide. Ruben needs to get a consistent side on the pitch, we are away to Wolves, Spurs and Liverpool coming up, from believing we can make top four, l'm looking over my shoulder at the teams below us. I understand all the new style and little time on the training ground talk, but he now needs to just steady the ship, get a consistent team on the pitch and keep it tight. Worry few games ahead.

Its the main problem with the side at the moment, with this system we don't have any suitable wing backs. We also apart from Amad don't have any suitable number 10s in this system.

Hence why we should sell Rashford/ Garnacho in January and buy some wing backs.

Ironically Sancho and “He who shall not be named” would have been perfect forwards in Amorims system.

I know it fades into insignificance in respect of the whole game but at 85 minutes we are 3-0 down and Maguire is playing keep ball with his fellow defenders in our own half. !

And holy cr@p Onana needs to distribute far quicker.

As for playing out from the back, let’s not bother. May as well lose the ball in the opposition half than our own eh!

But wrong cattle for the job I suppose. Onwards and upwards!

I’d rather we had Fraser Forster in handcuffs than Onana.

Sancho? not for me. I don't get the hype, he had a few good appearances for Dortmund last season and a couple of half decent games for Chelsea. I don't understand how he would be the answer.
He doesn't have the work ethic or hunger imo unless it's a more important televised game.

Keefy, Maguire and company were passing it around amongst themselves as there weren't any options in front of them. No movement, no one showing for the ball. Watching on TV limits what you see. Fully agree with the Onana one. He slows the game down at the wrong times.

Nah. We are 3-0 down. Can’t score in your own half. Regardless, get it up the pitch. Too late to worry about options. First half, yeah wait for options. 15 minutes or so to go and 3-0 down? GET IT UP THE BLOODY PARK!

One of the most important qualities as a player is commitment, effort, teamwork, team above self and mentality to deal with criticism, poor form and setbacks and comeback stronger.

This is lacking in many of our squad, and sancho too.

People expecting a quick fix are delusional. The ineos backed management team have a lot of work to do to build a squad for Anorim to succeed.

It is not in Amorims hands, or this squad, or the fans. It is over to the management structure to start moving out players and bringing in a new wave. Many of the new players have been solid. We need more, and more importantly we need to see the old squad broken up and moved on.

Top 4, cup wins etc etc are lu Kyle at best right now. We need to be building for 2028.

That should read some of the most, not one of the most ?.

we spend our time scapegoating players and soon there will be none left and the next batch will come in and get it and ground hog day. We are chopping and changing way too much and if you are trying to play a new system and some form of stability is required. Now social media and some pundits are starting with Kobe and granted he did have a tough game. They can't be all bad, over rated etc etc. When people say Bruno gave the ball away for one of their goals, Kobe gave it away for the 3rd one. This blame game, get rid never wins you anything.

we looked awful until the substitutions where we created chances chasing a lost cause and they sat deeper and were defending a 3-0 lead and game was over by then. why not just start with Hoiland, garna, play Amad where he has done well and why overcomplicate stuff.

Players like kobe did not turn into a tulip over night and the players are struggling with the new system. Cut them some slack, I like the manager but we are playing players in positions that makes them look bad and not their natural roles and they look confused, clumsy, making wrong decisions etc etc.

This is the point Ahmad. It is okay for Mainoo to have a bad game, he is young and will be inconsistent. For me, I think he is a gem of a player and he is the first name on the team sheet - but closely followed up by ugarte because he needs a bit of steel and disciplin next to him.

We absolutely have a core of good players to build a squad around. But we also have a large number of players who's time is up. To get back to the top we have to be ruthless and start to build around a new core of players that can challenge in a year or 2.

Amorims system needs a new style of player, and certainly some players that could play 442, 433 4231 etc might not fit this new system.

We must choose a path and see it through. We have chosen a new management team. We have chosen amorim. Now we need to build out a squad that can reach the very top playing his style of football. Evan's, Lindelof, casemiro for example will surely not be here for that rebuild. Others won't fit his style. Others have bad attitude. The changes must come, or we will not get back to the top. Maybe we'll reach top 4, but not the top. Clinging to players we like, or because they have an english passport and a loud mouth agency behind them will only get in the way.
