I'm surprised with the Garnacho situation, l always say him as very hard working on the pitch. I know he missed a few chances lately but at least he was there to get the chance.

I’m not, he’s a bit of a snide really. Liking posts on social media ridiculing members of the team or coaching staff. Hopefully he moves on for a good sum before he influences others.

Yes I think he worked extremely hard but had become a bit sloppy, missing passes and chances. I got the impression he had become a bit arrogant. I don’t think he should be sold, the manager has put a shot across his bows and let’s see how he reacts. If we start selling Garnacho at this age I think it could be a mistake.

The work he does is similar to that of Rashford - work for himself.
He rarely tracks back and is never keen to recover possession.
Additionally, he seems to lack the IQ to play as a 10 - he frequently looks like a chasing dog because he doesn't read what's going on.
He's young so, unlike Rashford, he can learn and develop better game, but he just doesn't yet work in the manner required for Amorim's system.

Garna had better stats than martinelli last season, often playing RW instead of left and also being brought in and out of the team constantly due to rashford favoritism. the pile on is crazy IMO.
He is very young and learning. I still think he can adapt and perform well as a 10 in RA system. Sure amorim will be working on him just like others and hardly feel that he will be tossed at his age. Unless management team need the cash and feel they have a better option lined up.
{Ed001's Note - not sure why the Martinelli comparison as he is an awful player.}

I wouldn't write him off just yet. He was a very coachable youth player. But it's up to him to adapt and he needs to want to adapt.
The ball is firmly in his court.
There are traits and habits in his game that I don't like also and he has not always got the best demeanor imo.
Personally I've no emotional attachment to any player. If the manager doesn't want a player in the squad I don't want him, but finances often dictate that we're all stuck with him for a bit.
If the manager is happy for him to be sold and the player fancies a move he will be sold quickly I'd imagine.
I expect to see 1 or both in the squad for thur or the weekend. I think amorim was clear that could be the case.

Dodgy, I'm not sure we can say Garnacho was "in and out of the team" last season when he started 37 games in a row and played more minutes than all but Bruno of the outfield players.
If anything I'd say it's the opposite, he's been over played and has needed more time out of the limelight and a little more protection. But given the form of his teammates and how integral he was to us last season he has probably been over relied on.
If you look around Europe and over history there are very few examples of a player his age having such an integral role for a big club with pretty much no top level senior players to provide that support.
Messi and Ronaldo were generational talents. So much talented that it almost demanded they play at a very young age.
But they had top level senior pros all around the dressing room. Players who carried the can for bad performances and helped guide them in tricky moments.
He's got ability, but you also need a strong mentality and the right attitude. Those are the things that are more under question. He's young and of course he can become a top player. He could also disappear up his own arse and never reach his potential.
I'm a big advocate of youth at our club and I always want to see them do well.
Yet if we are to return to the top the club have to be ruthless. No director, manager, coach or player gets to stay if they will be either a passenger or a distraction.

If he stopped trying to be the next Messi instead of listening to coaches and becoming the first Garnacho we might see a real player. Plus his brother hangs on his coat tails and, in my opinion is a loose cannon. Leaks anyone?

Ypu meed to do your job for any system to work. Amorins system relies on a fast aggressive press, it also requires the two playing off the 9 to work hard as a unit and being unselfish.
If Garnacho is not getting it, if he isn't showing Amorin he can do the job that is required he should not play.
Now Diallo seems to completely get his role, it's why he is being a success right now.

It is Amorim, not AmoriN.

When I think of utds great wingers, I can't imagine Garnacho on that list, he wants to be the goal scorer not the provider. I think he believes he is world class already. I know he is a young player and maybe criticism of him is harsh but Giggs, Beckham, Rooney were all young too but performed when it matters.
