Watching the interview on Sky Sports with Nemanja Vidic. He clearly states that the players need to look at themselves. Top man.

Once they've looked at themselves presumably in a mirror, then what should they do?

Great player, but stating the bleeding obvious there. I'm sure he said something similar after Ole got sacked, and possibly Jose as well.

I found it really interesting when David Moyes talked about the mentality still being great when he was there. Players were obviously coming to the end of their careers, but were still holding each other to account.
It’s shocking how far away we are from that now. It has rarely looked like a group of players willing to fight for and with one another. It often seems like the players are unable to push each other. Expecting the coach to bring out the best in them, rather than looking to themselves. I do see that with Sporting, so hopefully Ruben can lead them toward that, or bring in the type of characters who will start holding others to account.

I remember that good old 'manager bounce' in the first game under Rangnick. They looked like men possessed for half an hour, before reverting to type. Hope Ruben can inspire the same, but of course desire and effort are only part of it, the fitness needs to be there too which it probably isn't at the moment.

Vida was part of the last generation of players that would die for the badge. What I'd do to have a player like him in our back line.

DSG, get with the programme and fight for the club, badge, team, supporters or request a transfer. Simple really.

There is only 5 or 6 players left from the ole team or before.
Maguire, lindelof, Shaw, rashford, dalot and Bruno.
Of those I put a serios question mark after the 1st 4. I don't think dalot or Bruno have any issue attitude wise.
The rest I don't question their attitude or their openness to be led by a new leader.
We can debate their qualities all day long.
Over the next 18 months the jobs their doing now on the pitch is nothing like what they will be doing 18 months.
Rasmus will be asked to play a very different role as will many others.
If they don't do it well or show potential to do well I've no doubt whatsoever that they won't be kept.
The system to him will come before anything as it won't or can't work with any slackers.
He will mould what he can from what he has. I think we will all be surprised by a few that 'get it' and improve dramatically. The pieces he can't mould he will bring in over time.
Super hopeful and confident we have a leader now. A leader that all fans, all players want to follow.
I'm also predicting that in 18 months time he will be the darling of the media.
Lots of big bumps in the road and we will suffer some tough games as he tries to mould his team but if we are all seeing progress in general then so be it.
