When was the last time the noisy neighbours lost 4 games on the trot?

They have injuries. some people say its an excuse but reality is all teams performance levels drop significantly depending on who is injured. arsenal same since odegard has been out.
I bet them to finish third this year btw :)

It’s fantastic they’ve lost 4 in a row but would you rather they had 5 in a row or the scousers have 20.

Top 4 is on!

Blackpool Red, I'd prefer a team that didn't cheat win the league fairly.
So as much as it pains me to see Liverpool win, I'd take them winning over City.
Let's hope Arsenal turn things round and beat them both though (can't believe it's come to this ?)

Sorry injuries are no excuse!
First time ever for Pep and first time since 2006 for City.

The injury to Rodri does impact them as they don't have anyone else who can do that role even half as well as Rodri does.
While the limited availability of KdB obviously doesn't help, yet they have more than enough quality in depth to beat 90% of the league without him.
I think that the real issue might be the 115 charges hanging over their head, the real threat of relegation because of that and Pep's uncertain future at the club.
So many off the field distractions that are probably playing on the players minds.
Add to that maybe a slight loss of drive having won everything over the past few years and you can see they've dropped performance levels by 10%. Other teams can smell blood in the water and are upping their game against them as they have hope, rather than expecting to lose.
They don't seem unbeatable anymore, and once you lose that image it is really hard to get it back.

It's a blip and they're still the side I'd want to avoid in a one-off purely because of Haaland alone. Take him out the equation however and things get interesting! Scary numbers.
Things will only snowball with all these fixtures and injuries mounting up for every top team. We as fans love it. Clubs however will either need to utilise full squads and expect that they might rarely ever get to put out their strongest team, or players will put their foot down and strike as a few have intimated in recent times.

shappy
No one on the pitch thinks about 115 charges when they are playing. They are an oldeish squad when it comes to their key players and getting injuries. Losing rodri is massive for them.
I watched them against Bournemouth I think and Nunes is playing right wing and I thought WOW. Quality of every football team is a based on key players playing.
Liverpool had injuries two years ago and finished fifth and 32 points less that their previous points tally even after they strengthen in that summer.
Arsenal without Odegard and rice would struggle to win the tough games in my opinion. Liverpool are flying at the moment with no major injuries and the least out of the top tier teams. Its not a coincidence.

Alisson (Best GK in the world probably) been injured most of the season.
Jota (The 1st choice striker) Have missed the last 7 or 8 games.
Elliot (The only other attacking MF who can play instead of szoboszlai who have been dropped lately) missing all season
Chiesa (The only signing they made to relieve the pressure from Mo Salah in years) been injured most of the season and Salah has overplayed.
Konate (Have missed 3 or 4 games)
Arnold (Have missed 3 or 4 games and now injured again)
just excuses as usual.
