Ed001 what's your thoughts on Amorim? Do you think he's the right pick for us? And how do you rate him? Thanks.
{Ed001's Note - looks a very good coach, plays good football but I have worries over his attitude as he messed around a whole bunch of clubs in the summer. He only seemed to care about who would pay him the most, rather than being interested in what team was there, what was there for him to succeed etc. It is not like he would be underpaid by any of the clubs in for him, so he should surely have been thinking first about what was best for him from a point of view of succeeding. He ended up messing around so much that all the interested parties walked away. But, there is also a reason why top clubs were interested in him in the first place, so he should still be a decent choice. Certainly looks a step forward from Ten Hag, but as I said on the rumours page earlier, I personally would have gone for Hoeness right now.}

ED001,
Would you expect Amorin to implement his 3421/ 3412 formation at Utd?
It would allow Utd to play Yoro, MdL and Martinez together. But Utd really lack a LWB, with Dalot not really performing on the left and Shaw and Malacia being very injury prone. Maybe Amass might get a chance now?
{Ed001's Note - it would seem likely he would stick with what he knows.}

Feels like the same excitement when ETH took over first. Amorim does seem to have more charisma though.

Speak for yourself angel ??? I for one didn't want him in the first place and i think neither did Ken and Red Man so surely there wasnt any excitement. ?.

My dead granny has more charisma than eth.

Looking forward to him coming. Wish our ex-players would just shut up as some like Yorke and scholes already talking even before the guy is here.

Clearly Ed001 he still only interested in the cash, because who in there right mind would take over this bunch of crap that ETH invested half a billion quid in!
He got his work cut out that’s for sure, his got strikers that can’t hit a barn door centrebacks that look like they are carrying the barn doors and left backs who can’t play 6 games!
So he deserves lots of wages in my book to make anything out of this!
{Ed001's Note - the players are not as bad as they have looked, the question now is whether it was their attitude or Ten Hag's tactics/motivational skills that were at fault (or both). Time will soon tell us for sure on that front.}

Poch was my choice from the 2 at the time and perhaps that would have been nearly as bad.
Our choices are totally irrelevant we can only judge anybody on the job they do here and whether they and the job they do appeal to us as supporters.
I can't wait to see how Amorim tackles the job. We are crying out to build a new identity on the pitch I really believe he will establish that very firmly over the next 18 months.

Ken a New identity suggest there was an identity under ETH, so you must be joking with that remark!
If it is him and it looks very likely, good luck to him it’s going to be hard, although must already be a doom cloud lifted from the dressing room with ETH, gone but let's be fair every player new or old gone in reverse under ETH, Bruno was highest scoring midfielder and assist maker in eu, season by season ETH stopped that, Mainoo burst on to scene he not been great this season before injury, strikers who were not great at the outset have got worse, Antony. well it’s Antony, Mount rather be injured.
Eric got to be the worst man manager of all time.
So now end of that ERA, let’s hope the new one gets much better at least some identity and pattern to our play would be a start.

I’m with UA. I never felt remotely excited by EtH and it went downhill from there!
