Do we think that result keeps eth in his job? God I hope not. Seems we either execute plan a and get ripped apart or execute plan b where we sit back and hope for a draw. Nothing in between. Today was plan b, I know villa are a good side but we setup like a newly promoted side just wanting to survive. Credit to evans but when he's our MOTM then u know there's problems.

We were the better side in the first half they were the better side for about 25 minutes in the second half but that's the pl when you play away from home no matter who the opposition and at some point they will have a spell. They were the form team at home with an additional days rest having played a home European tie.
If you could describe the season in one moment. Its been a game of whatever we get a break, garna open with the ball on the right late running at cash and 4 on 2 I think, with Bruno and someone else behind him running, open space and not a difficult pass by any means at this level. That's been our season so far, when it matters someone just does not execute.
He will learn and get better as he gets older come inside with cash back pedaling and make the pass so much easier but he has to use his left foot and at this level in games like this you need to do that.

Swear they cherry pick the most antagonistic pundits possible to commentate whenever I watch Utd. Jamie Carragher's drone for 90 minutes, constantly stressing how bad the team is and putting the boot in wherever possible. I mean he's right, but.

Most of these pundits had their own careers ruined by an era of united dominance so they love sticking the boot in now that they have the chance. Tbf we’d do the same lol.

I think what keeps Ten Hag on a job if anything, is there actually that the management team have only been in place a few and that there might not be the preferred option for them right now.
Realistically, the squad is not very good, it isn't a top 6 squad, they are expensive yes, they are on high wages but they aren't as good as the money that was payed. There is a lot of players needed to be moved on to give United the finances and space to bring in players.
Ten Hag offers the board a buffer from criticism right now. If they bring in a new man, he isn't going to get Champions league, I don't think we will get Europa league, there are too many stronger teams in the EPL so I would not be shocked to see them wait, to continue assessing the squad, to work on deals with agents to get players out and. Work on bringing new players in, to identify the next manager and to make a move later knowing that this season is a wrote off because we aren't nearly as good as we many thought we were and the rest of us hoped we would be.
I don't think Ten Hag is the right man any more, but I am not convinced that the right man is available or that anyone is going to get us anywhere near without massive changes to the playing staff.
Putting the new man in with this squad is probably just going to hamstring him in everyone's eyes and once a narrative is out there it's very difficult to change especially at United who are so big that the media needs a story.

I think Carragher had a really good career. He’s more than qualified to comment on the premier league.

Michael Owen had a great career, do you agree with everything he says?

Agreeing with someone and believing they have the credentials to give an opinion at a certain level are 2 different things.
