Super. Kick on now very Palace and twenty to gain a bit of momentum.
Gulf in class today and it showed. Some play was really good to watch we put them to the sword very easily. 1st thing I'd do if I was the manager would be to solidify the midfield. Ugarte and casimero would be my choice with mainoo. It will be interesting to see in the bigger games if we see these 2 start together in midfield.

Good couple of games, we needed them. We need another good performance at Palace. Good to see a few options up front. We want a situation where ten hag has a hard choice for selection in the front positions. Other than leftback, and maybe doubts around cassemiro and Eriksen in the epl I think we look a much better squad.

Yup. Just what we needed. I know it was only Barnsley, but there were some decent performances last night. Rashford looks like he may have found his form again and Garnacho looks to have found another gear. Fingers crossed we can ride this good form into our next few games.

Excellent result and scoring goals, 10 in two games after a season where we struggled including the first three league games. Important to take it into Palace now. Must get the balance right.
Yes it was a league one club but goals still need to be scored. Tough to see others like Villa in the Champions League but we have to earn that this season. Let’s take the confidence on to the weekend.

It was great, albeit against a league 1 team. But no matter the opposition, to score 7, it's unusual. The overall play was very good and the finishing, most importantly was there.
Ken, I'd like to see CAS and Ugarte in there. when Casemiro was at Madrid, he always had players lying in a deeper role adding that extra protection allowing him to be more aggressive, winning a lot of ball higher up the field. I think Ugarte gives him that foil. He was spraying balls about last night. in the last couple of games we have gave away very little in midfield and I think with Ugarte in there, the full backs drifting into midfield, it makes us hard to play through
We just need more rhythm and the players need to become more used to playing this system.
But last night showed that the players are trusting the game plan and they know where each other are going to be.
I also noticed them playing a lot closer together which hasn't often been the case. It allows us to be more controlled.
Really looking forward to the next couple of games.

Agree with the general sentiment - 'only' Barnsley, but still, it's been a while since we scored a few and will be a great confidence boost for all.
In this little batch of games Palace stood out as the banana-skin for me. They're not quite at the level they were at the tail-end of last season but will still be a handful. A test.
