Totally agree Ahmad. Sancho going with the obligation is great news. Never performed for us, and was clearly an issue for the manager. Good riddance, and a fanatic first window for the new hierarchy.

Never before have the departures from a team been as celebrated as the incomings lol.

Spenno

one less thing that the pundits and news media can write about now. it was always a subject that brought a lot of noise with it. A young team, lots of new players and less distractions for the squad and the manager.

Good window buying players needed for positions and not vanity or social media numbers. Once Sancho called the manager a liar, he had to go and glad he has gone. I said we should not buy him, thought it was wrong and now we have moved on. Like what I am seeing of the new management structure and decision making. Lot of rumours that Ugarte was at the insistence of Wilcox and the manager would rather have kept McT, so good strong decision making for the good of the club.
We did some good business, in and out apart from a goal scoring CF when we have struggled to score.
Separately interesting to see Antony Elanga linked with a sale at £35m when we have a sell on clause.

Red Man, from what I've heard/ read is that it wasn't a case of the manager wanting to keep McTominay rather than sign Ugarte.

But that United needed to sell one of McTominay or Casemiro in order to sign Ugarte.

With no buyers for Casemiro it was a case of selling McTominay to buy Ugarte, or keep McTominay and bring in a cheaper midfielder such as Amrabat or Sander Berge.

The manager wanted to keep McTominay as he offered something different, but agreed that it was better to let a bit part player leave (no matter how useful he was) in order to bring in a potentially key first team player.

Ultimately I'm glad that these discussions are happening, even if it causes a little bit of tension and disagreement at times. As it means things are being done correctly, ideas and opinions are being challenged, discussed and judged on their merits.
