Are we ever happy, fans still want more. No one would have predicted the business done before the window opened. They have done excellent business in this window given budgets and restrictions. Let's hope the team now gels, exciting times ahead.

LB was an issue last season, and could still be this year.
If there was an incoming, I hope its a Lb.

Why would you be happy with what's gone on at the club the past 15 years. Until we start winning and competing we have every right never to be happy.

LB options in the squad:

Shaw, Malacia, Martinez, Dalot, Mazraoui, Amass.

That's 6 players for one position in the starting line up.

Midfield options in the squad for the two positions in the double pivot:

Casemiro, Eriksen, Mainoo, Collyer and possibly Mount.

We can probably replace Eriksen with Ugarte in that list over the next day or two.

Either way that gives us 4 maybe 5 players for TWO starting positions.

Of those 5 players one is in decline and will struggle if they have to play 90 minutes twice a week. Two are academy lads with less than 6 months senior experience under their belt between them. While Mount probably isn't best suited to playing that deep in midfield.

If Ugarte and Mainoo are injured or unavailable we have Casemiro, Collyer and Mount as the only options in midfield with two of them needing to start, while the other is the only option off the bench.

Yeah, LB is an issue, but it's certainly not as big a concern for the entire season as midfield is in my opinion.

Shappy,

A real LB is needed. One whownill stay fit and improve the first team 11. Martinez isn't a lb and would be wasted there.

I understand playing him there and other players in emergency situations, but realistically wlthe knows that the LBs are very injury prone. It's a shame we didn't go for Ferdi Kadioglu.

MH, I'm not saying for one second that we don't need a new LB, we do.

We also need to replace Maguire, sign at least two midfielders and sell Casemiro, sell Antony and bring in a top class winger, and probably need a top level keeper to challenge/ replace Onana.

There are still holes in this team, and there was always going to be this season as quite simply we were never going to be able to bring in the 12 top class players we need to rebuild this squad this summer.

The issue with LB is we have THREE in the first team squad, at least one would need to go before we bring in another one.

Answer me this, imagine its the final day of the season and we are playing Villa. We need to win to get top four.

Would you rather start team A or team B?

Team A: Onana, Mazraoui, MdL, Martinez, Chilwell, Collyer, Casemiro, Amad, Bruno, Garnacho, Zirkzee.

or

Team B: Onana, Mazraoui, MdL, Martinez, Dalot, Rabiot, Casemiro, Amad, Bruno, Garnacho, Zirkzee.

Ultimately it comes down to do you think having Dalot at LB instead of Chilwell would weaken the team more than having Collyer in midfield instead of Rabiot?

G-Nev. You have every right to be unhappy even if we are winning. I mean even if we break the points and goal scoring records we could have at least scored one more or turned one draw into a victory. And let's say we win the league by a mile, and 3 cups, we still have every right to be unhappy because it was really boring watching us trounce the opposition week after week. ?.
