Does anyone know how much we paid for Dan Ashworth to Newcastle?

Six bob and a tooth pick.

In all honesty does it really matter. It will likely be less than Newcastle were asking, more than we had initially offered, significant enough to help them with the PSR issue they had but not too prehibative to our own.
He is in, and working this summer. All that matters
We get who we want and they get Mitchell so are happy. Win win.

So many people here worried about money. Why?

Srestha, I have seen it reported, by a number of sources, that we agreed a fee of £7 million with Newcastle. Don't know if true but if so it's a lot less than they wanted.
All well and good saying money does not matter, but it most emphatically does. It will certainly have huge bearing on what happens this summer and furthermore the amount of complaining on here for constantly overpaying (totally justified) shows it's importance.
I, for one, am delighted we did not accede to their demands and stood firm in our valuation. Hopefully, this will show we are no longer mugs with our money and will walk away from being ripped off by all and sundry.
