Apparently our payroll in 2024 was 8th highest in Europe at €381m behind Barcelona at €639m, PSG at €617m and City at €554m. Also above us RM, Liverpool, BM and Chelsea. As hard as it is to believe these numbers they MUST be true because some journo somewhere will have spent 100s of hours delving into the intricacies of football club accounting.
Also - apparently!? - we have cooled our interest in Pocchetino, and Tuchel has ruled himself out of contention. So the fact that elsewhere in the universe there are suggestions that ETH will in fact stay at United, following the advice proferred by LVG, it's all becoming increasingly clear what's going to happen. And another fun fact:- we are the third most followed club on social media behind the two Spanish clubs.

I don't know what to believe anymore, so I've stopped paying attention.
All I can say is, if Ineos have approached or shown interest in some of the names the press have suggested, then they aren't looking for best in class like they claim. They are desperate, so they have resorted to a pool of out of work managers or are more interested in hiring their mates.

So with Poch out the running then it’s either ETH or Southgate then. UEFA data about wages has the same list about wages but Chelsea’s numbers are apparently from the season before so will likely be lower.

Ornstein who is very well respected has said he won’t speculate as he doesn’t have a clue what’s happening. If he doesn’t know then none of the other so called journos will know. Seems like a lot of the stories circulating are just made up to create interactions…imagine that!

Who says Poch interest has cooled? Southgate may not be available until end of July which would seem an odd appointment to me considering we have no Ashworth or Berrada in place yet either. I think if ten hag was staying I’d tell United to shove it tbh after courting others only for us to come back to him. I don’t think any journos know the truth in all honesty, the only thing I know is I don’t want Southgate and would prefer ten hag in to that, I’d prefer Poch out of the available coaches and either way can this review just get done so we can crack on with our summer plans and just pay up for Ashworth while we’re at it, meant to be a new United way not the same old embarrassing stories coming out.

There has been a lot of backlash recently on Jacob Steinberg after attacking Mainoo and Saka after the defeat to Iceland. He is the one who wrote the story for the Guardian that ETH was going to be sacked before the Final, which prompted other outlets to follow. He is being discredited for a lot of his previous articles.
Whatever happens, the one take away is that the British press are toxic, and most would sell their own mothers to sell a headline.

Every day is like groundhog day as a united supporter. Supposed sure targets who are coming going elsewhere with the added twist of a new candidate as a manager on a daily basis or candidates falling by the way side. This club never seems to change. Its farcical IMO and don't need 3 weeks to figure out if someone who has been working for you is good enough or needs to be replaced.
We will end up shopping at Tesco by the time this window is done, nothing has changed.

I remember growing up finding out football news in the paper or teletext, now every man and his dog are giving updates every 5 minutes on social media which are usually bull, the problem is a lot of people follow and believe it which brings impatience.
