Lots of PL proven players would improve us if bought in the next three weeks:
Zaha
Guehi
Andersen
Olise
Ward-Prowse
Cash
Pickford
Neto
Neves
Barnes
Ndidi
Tielemans
Mitrovic
Toney
Caicedo
Trossard
Are all players who would improve our squad right now and all playing for clubs where they would still be upgrading coming to United, even in our current state.
I'm certainly not saying they are all world beaters, but this is going to be a hell of a tough season as it is - some of our incomings need to be able to hit the ground running having known the league. Otherwise, the newbies might need a year or two to adjust and then we'll all still be sitting here in 2025 moaning about being unable to attract players to play Europa League football.

I’m not sure I can get on board with a lot of those names to be honest. Even if we were in for them I’m not sure their respective clubs would let them go, or whether they’d want to come to us in the first place. You say we are an upgrade but quite frankly if I was at Brentford, Fulham etc I’m not sure I’d be skipping to Old Trafford.
And Pickford……. sorry, he’s a dreadful goalkeeper. How he’s England number 1 is absolutely beyond me.

Agreed that most of those would improve us, although I think a fair few are deemed as imperative to their respective clubs (where are Fulham's goals going to come from if they sell Mitro for £25m? ) so if we intend to storm in with an hour of the window to go and expect clubs to bowl over I imagine we'll be in for even more surprises.

Zaha - Good player, lacks a little consistency, possibly too individualistic to suit EtH's style.
Guehi - I really like him and think he could be a good signing.
Andersen - Would really suit how EtH plays.
Olise - Would be a great EPL proven option to Antony.
Ward-Prowse - Better than what we have but not good enough in my opinion. The fact he grabs a few freekick goals seems to elevate everyone's opinion of him.
Cash - Solid option, not sure his ceiling is high enough though.
Pickford - Right sort of keeper for EtH, but has T-Rex arms and is a liability as a keeper.
Neto - I really like this lad, only injuries have held him back, would probably prefer him over Antony to be honest.
Neves - Great option, although question marks over his mobility, he needs a midfielder to play close to him to cover runs in behind him.
Barnes - Looked good last season, but picks up a few injuries.
Ndidi - Great player for certain styles of play, has no place in a team that will look to dominate possession and use the ball intelligently.
Tielemans - Should be high on the list as a possible FDJ alternative, similar skillset with EPL experience. Available for a fair fee given his contract situation.
Mitrovic - Solid option, might be pricey given he is vital to Fulham's ability to survive in the EPL this season.
Toney - Great player, would suit EtH's style better than Mitrovic in my opinion. For 25m it would be a yes, if Brentford want 40m+ he's not worth it.
Caicedo - Decent but not really proven enough yet. Had a good game against us in the first half, disappeared in the second once we had Eriksen as the No.6 instead of Fred.
Trossard - Solid player who'd offer a great option. Better suited to the left where we have plenty of options. Both Neto and Olise would be better choices given their age, potential and better impact when playing on the right.

Other than where players are in the final year of their contracts ie Ronaldo / Rabiot et al I can't see any club selling any of those players above for even fair whacks. Isn't £60m+ the go-to price these days every time Utd come calling? Any offer would have to blow them out the water. They can't buy replacements with pocket money.

The thing is, we are that poor that there are 100s of players who can improve us. What it really comes down to is the amount they can improve us.

I keep reading the fact we have plenty of options on the left. We do - but they’re all very average.

Other than neves and ndidi unless we want to keep being a mid table team then the others are no goes.
