Missed the game today and will likely miss the game tomorrow as away with the kids.
Anyone impress, how did we play? Obviously seen the end of the world posts and that we still need another 5-6 (that part not wrong but itll come in time. ) .

Played alright in spells. We were competitive throughout. Quite wasteful in the final third. Rashford and Martial running down blind alleys most of the game. Just lacked that spark in the final pass.
Maguire did well as did Malacia. Fred and McTominay did ok but wasted some good possession at times. Bruno was underwhelming. Eriksen had a few nice moments when he came on. Some decent corners and nearly a lovely ball that was an inch away from Elanga heading it in.
Felix scored a nice goal at the end but we were well worth a draw in my opinion.
The game was a feisty one even for a friendly.
I think the lessons Ten Hag will learn is that Rashford and Martial won't be reliable throughout a season. We need reinforcements up top. When they're on form they're great but there will be plenty of games that pass them by.

Coalan, it's not an end of world, but realty says that if we don't strengthen in midfield and centre attack and even a right back, then, we'll be 6th at best.

Malacia was very impressive. The work rate and attitude were spot on but we lacked quality in possession.
The energy too fell fairly in the second half.
Hope the manager gets the new signings in asap because at the moment the depth in quality is worrying.

TRD AM changed at least 8 players around the 68m mark so JF was only warmed up when he scored. That right side is going to be our downfall trying to play McGuire their.
HM at LCB and try LM at RCB or could we maybe even try press on with 343 attacking with LM central stepping forward in the midfield press and swap with HM at least their will always be protection.

I think we're going to have to accept that anything above 6th in a bonus. the team will play much better footy and will care hard harder that's for sure. Have ups and downs but I'm hoping for a cup win. Can see a midfielder and forward coming in and that's it, might even see a player bought in January. But we're going to have to be patient. a win against pool early on would be good ?.

Martial well he is Martial. Useless, how on earth you lot say Ronaldo won’t fit TH system, well what bit of hard work/ closing down/ build up does Martial do. and he don’t score goals like Ronaldo either
Midfield still a severe weak point. TBF Fred done OK, McT waste even worse is DVB he is a joke… he will hardly play a game this season.
Rashford usual self greedy and blind alleys.
Erlanga is not good enough either

The game yesterday was interesting, it highlighted the progress the team has made in pre-season, the direction the team is going, and the issues that still remain.
United controlled a feisty game, had a difficult first 10 minutes but from then on had the better of it.
Malacia often played as an inverted full back, Erkisen offered creativity and consistency when he came on. I think we clearly missed Sancho who has probably been one of our best players in pre-season.
We created enough chances to win the game, but a draw would have been a fairer result. Martial worked hard off the ball as he has all pre-season. Rashford was promising but couldn't find a way through a stubborn defence.
Elanga continues to look less comfortable in EtH's team than he looked in RR's.
Defensively we look better, but still have a mistake in us.
Atletico made a couple of attacking changes as our side started to tire and they made the most of it and managed to score from their only really good chance of the game.
Considering we travelled with a small squad it was always likely that we'd tire a little early, being unable to make a large number of subs.
Ultimately it was a good test, and helps get the team ready for Brighton.

Rashford could not break down a team that’s 2-3 weeks behind us, so that does bode well.
MCT was not existent…DVB is just not suited to premier football, I would say many of the same ol problems are very prevalent in this team.

Svilen, did you even watch the game? Atletico made 9 subs, changing all bar one outfield player. United made 3, one of which came in the 91st minute.
Is it surprising that one group of players tired after playing 70 minutes while up against players who have played less than 20 minutes?
