Williams, Bailly and Pereira sold for about £35m is good business. Some serious wages being chalked off the books with jettisoning Pogba, Matic, Lingard, Mata.

Has ye olde battleship United finally turned?

Let's hope so. I know we all get excited every new season and the majority of the last decade hasn't worked out. But have to be excited for Ten Hag's reign.

Can't wait to be 'home' on 7th Aug :)

We got really good money for Pereira. The guy has all the qualities yet doesn't perform. I'll be interested to see how he plays at Fulham and if he's a success somewhat.

Brandon for 15m, no brainer really 3rd/ 4th choice in both full back positions. Should cash in. Wouldn't be against a buyback 30m clause if he becomes a late bloomer.

I'm in 2 minds about Bailly though, 10m is rather cheap for him. I wouldn't sell him but we have to sell a few players and if Bailly is attracting interest we should look to sanction this. He did play well in the pre-season. 10m seems rather low for him, we should push a bit more.

Good deals IF all go through and IF that money is immediately put towards closing the gap between our last offer for Antony and Ajax’s valuation of the player.

Not seen anything about Bailley leaving? Italy I assume?

Rohanarora, To be honest I think around 10m for Bailly is about right.

For most teams around Europe that aren't regularly winning their league and playing UCL football every season (effectively any side that isn't one of the top 2-3 sides in their league) his 80k per week wages would make him one of those clubs top earners.

For those clubs if you sign a player who will be one of your top earners they have to be worth it.

Eric Bailly has made 188 club appearances in his career by the age of 28.

To put that into perspective Jesse Lingard who has been a near constant squad player and didn't make his professional debut until he was 22 has 358 senior appearances, close to twice as many games a Bailly, and is only 6 months older than him.

Or Bailly has made 70 EPL appearances for United, while Mason Greenwood has made 83.

The issue with Bailly is his injury record is absolutely appalling, the guy is made of glass and not normal glass but sugar glass. Glass that cracks if you just look at it funny.

Signing a 28 year old Bailly is a guarantee that for at least 60% of the time you will be paying him a huge wage to just keep your medical team busy.

No one will pay a large fee for a player like that.

shappy Bailly is 20 months younger than him and has been a professional player 3 years less than Lingard who has signed for 7 teams

Bailly has played for 3 teams ( 4 if you count the B team ) and in 6 of his 8 years as being professional he has played for united as a back up player.

if he wasn't at united he would have played a lot more games than Lingard in 3 years less.

agree with Bailly is like glass he has missed 99 games through injury for united, his longest bout was when he had his knee op.

lingard has missed 50 games through injury.

if fit he's worth more than 10 million he's about to come into his prime years but i agree 10 million is about right.

think we will see sales start to move now with pre season ending next week.

When you say Bailly had a good pre season he played well in the Liverpool game and then defensively he was dreadful against Melbourne, giving them 2 chances with awful passes that we got away with. He then brought it out of defence and set up a goal and everyone said how amazing he was. People hate Maguire so are desperate for someone to be better than him. Bailly can’t stay fit and has never learnt to cut out the big mistake he makes in every game. £10m and I’ll drive him there myself.

Bailly is truly shocking. The quicker he is sold the better. Apart from his horrendous injury record, his rash decision making is legendary. I’d rather keepTuanzebe as back up than Bailly.
