Afternoon folks. With Malacia and Eriksen confirmed, the club within Ajaxs price range for Martinez and De Jong up in the air. Ronaldo looks like he'll leave so a replacement will definetely be needed. Still a lot up in the air.
Where do you hope/ expect us to finish this season?

At least 4th, with some proper management and coaching i still believe what we have at the club are capable of far better than last season, and should get at least another couple of Ten Hag's targets in .
I realise this rare moment of optimism is going to come back to haunt me .

It impossible to know what players will adapt to eth and how quickly.
Still at least 5 or 6 players to get rid of so a long way to go.
I'm hoping we will be plus 20 points on last season or thereabout.

I think Spurs will be the one to rise into the top 3, at the expense of Chelsea. I think we'll be scrapping with Arsenal for 5th.

The club have yet to back the new manager.
ETH has given them clear direction on who he wants to sign.
The club know what it will take to make these signings.
They have dragged their heals, made insulting low ball offers, and continued their embarrassing transfer strategy.
If they continue to fail in this regard, we will struggle to get near the top 4. The club finished 6th, 11 points behind Arsenal in 5th. Every team above us has strengthened this summer. We have lost players and have brought in very little.

I haven't got a clue atm as so many possible twists and turns but although linked to finishing position I would hope the play improves, the personel step up and that as a club we become a more attractive propesition to the top end players over the next few windows.
A job lot of paint and some b and q vouchers wouldn't go amiss for the maintenace staff wouldn't hurt either.

6th and win Europa League. but the football after Xmas will be much better. It will take time as some of these players still need to be fooked off after what they did last season.

Totally agree Ken. I think success for the season will see improved points total, a cohesive approach and system that the team understands and works, progression is the aim for next year and a good cup run.
Hopefully this will all lead to a top 4 place to help with recruitment next year so we can then kick on again.

4th or 5th is where I think we'll finish.
I think we'll overtake Arsenal who I think will improve what they are good at but will still have the same weaknesses which will ultimately hold them back.
Spurs look good on paper, but are obviously Spurs so are experts at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Plus Conte could blow up at any moment and just walk.
Chelsea should be good, but currently like us they have lost several player and are yet to replace them. How they do in the transfer window could play a big part in where they finish. I'm also not convinced by Tuchel, good manager, but Chelsea have steadily got worse since they won the UCL final a few months after he took over. Great dead cat bounce, but have they really got any better.

Top 5 i believe. We will not do a rebuild and suddenly become a top team in one window. Most likely another 18 months snd more house cleaning to go. All depends if eth is as advertised.

Far too early for me to consider s prediction given so long left in the window. Th4 biggest thing for me will be just how big a difference EtH makes anyway given the awful management/ coaching these players have had for last few years. That alone I would imagine making a big difference to us
Only thing I feel fairly confident about is City winning purely because of the depth of their squad which with this world Cup thrown in the middle after two tough C.V. compacted seasons for me put them in an even stronger position. Just think that depth and the events of last two seasons and this one puts them in an even stronger place.
