So it looks like ronaldo is going uk journos think he's going to chelsea but i have a feeling he might be off to sporting. Question is with ronaldo going we now need 2 strikers/ forwards the club clearly want antony but with that we need a actual striker for me we should be looking at

Jonathan David
Alexander Isak
Lautauro Martinez
Calvert-Lewin
Victor Osimhen

Question is can we afford any of them as well as Antony? Would they want to sign for us or do they have better options?

My choice would be Isak, David, or Martinez, if we get Martinez Inter could then take dybala to replace him.

{Ed004's Note - I think mine would be Osimhen. By removing Ronaldos wages we should free up space to sign another forward.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Lautaro would be the pick of them for me. However, Calvert Lewin looks the most likely unless there is some deal involving a Ronaldo and Osimhen swap which is unbelievably unlikely.

Jonathan David is also a good player though, he's also a more flexible player positionally than most of the above.

I don't think osimhen is a bad choice he's lower down on my list as he would be missing every couple of years for AFCON which could be problematic, i also think rashford will play more as striker this year.

I'd like to see any of those although Calvert-Lewin doesn't inspire me at all. Also I can't see Everton selling their front two in one window.
Think we're going to see a lot of Martial at CF this year.

Firstly, Martinez and Osimhen would not sacrifice CL to come to a rebuilding United.
Secondly, Isak is a lazy player - a big no from me.
Thirdly, Calvert-Lewin is incredibly overrated.

Jonathon David would be worth a punt though, very good player.

I would also add the name Scamacca to the list of options.
Italy aren't at the WC and, as a player who is known to be keen on the idea of going abroad again, I think he might jump at the chance.
Big, aggressive unit, quick, excellent technical attributes, able to shift and move across the attacking lines - I personally think he'd be the best option realistically available.

Like David, I think a fee of around £50m would get him.

I'd be pushing for Christopher Nkunku. Or at least try get a deal in place for next summer and look for a short term replacement like Vardy. Or maybe look at Gabriel Barbosa.

I believe scamacca is pretty much done to psg based of reading the other sites. I accept martinez and osimhen would be difficult without champions league that's why isak and david are probably our best options and i agree david may be the best/ easiest option of the lot considering cost and willingness to move. Calvert-Lewin would probably be in with Isak and David as options but will everton sell having lost Richarlison and possibly Gordon.

I know Scamacca's keen on PSG, but he'd never be the main man there and might actually find himself on the bench as their style might not suit him - you know, the whole 'feed your boss' dynamic.

At United, he'd pretty much be the first choice all the time and would add a decent level of dynamism.

It's worth a try for me.

Two other names we have been linked with, Tammy Abraham and Evanilson from Porto.

Wouldnt touch abraham jesus christ, and i don't know anything about evanilson.

Hugo Ekitike to Newcastle is off, could be a shrewd signing seeing as we are trying to get players on the cheap.

Nkunku will definitely be on the move next season, having agreed what appears to be a particularly low release clause.
Wasn't convinced at all by Scamacca in the recent Eng fixture but he did have the mighty Maguire marking him. However he does appear to be more of a target man than many of these names which is probably what we need and would probably suit the Prem. A main guy through the middle rather than another fiddly wide player who cuts in.

I’d take Tammy Abrahams over Calvert Lewin deffo.
