Today being friday, i would like to think we will hear something of value in our transfer dealings.
A bit miffed why we are 0/ 0 so far. Most have done a lot of their major business already.

Competent clubs do transfer business as quickly as possible to ensure that the new signings can have a full preseason with their new manager and teammates.
The Utd was is to haggle and drag your feet until the last minute in the hope of saving a few quid.

There has been a lot of talk of things being put off until after 1st July due to end of financial year. It just shows you how little we actually know about what is going on behind the scenes, but there are signs that things are slowly improving in the structure and actions of the club so I think patience is the key.

Yer Man, I had read something similar around the timing. The view was that we were working with Barcalona on the timing so don't see any issues with the current negotiations.
It also seems that De Jong is key to every other bit of business we do so will want this to conclude before the others but we will be working on multiple deals.

I seriously have my doubts about this De Jong transfer.

I’m not sure preseason with Ole counts, Ross. It doesn’t take a lot of time to adjust to the manager’s strategy when it’s just ‘go out and have fun, and try to do a win lads’.

Fireman I 2nd that, we should only be looking to players that want to come. I know we haven't got cl football next season and that is a pull for players, but the season after we could be back in and challenging for titles if we have the right recruitment and coaching.

Personally think Spurs have done a great bit of business with Bissouma and we have missed another one there. Meanwhile we continue to be starry eyed for a name at Barca.

Surely as a player, you would say, I'm not moving, I'm not interested in playing there.
{Ed014's Note - seems like that’s what he keeps saying and I know they maybe need money but surely they’ll have to spend similar to replace him, but then, Barca aren’t the sharpest tool in the box.

I’m a bit confused here, Ed002 said Jamie Jackson is a reliable source regarding utd related news and he reported that he was open to the move last night. All I can find regarding an unwillingness to move is articles referencing Sport newspaper as the source. Sport are all about Barcelona, so i’m wondering if the reports are just pondering to fans who see de jong’s transfer has a huge loss.
