Am i the only one that thinks we won't actually sign anyone? other than free transfers or loans. if we looked at it logically we had a loss of £64m plus the **** taking dividends at least 11m. with no real sellable assets we won't to leave we have no real income? Unless were going even more into the red which imo will lead to disaster. like it did for leeds etc. Just my thoughts.

Agree0 Disagree0

U could very well be right. No one will admit that though and the club will keep putting it out there that they are working on things. Keeps us high on social media and keeps the interactions up. I do expect plenty of quotes this week about how ETH rates the squad, how much quality there is, they’re so much better than last year etc etc.

Tucker,

Honestly there is a reason Ed tells us not to go into finances. I have no clue about any of it, I reckon the club will be well enough run to ensure there is still money there so the owners can keep making money.

You could be right, could be wrong but I’m nowhere near qualified enough to understand the finances at a club or size so I just trust there’s people in charge who do.

You guys are actually thick to think that a organisation that big is going to have an effect if the owners take 11 mil in dividents.

Its their club and their money so they can take whatever money they want and whenever. I am sure they have money in the bank to buy us players.

Its not like glazers haven't bought players its just that we have bought badly with no thinking behind it and hoping this time the purchases are made by serious planning.

. I think it’s United making headlines the club just want to milk so will highlight every little detail. It’s also possible they just ripped up the work Ralf had done and start afresh.

Singh, no one is "thick". While the club will sign players, it is apparent that our negotiations are different to other clubs. If you simplify it and you go to buy a second hand car and the dealer says £8,500, you don't say to him I'll give you £5,500. That's how United do their business. I appreciate that they try to get the best deal, but the selling club (Barcelona in this instance) are not idiots and they know the value of their player.
In addition you're saying it's their club and money and they can do whatever they want, but only the first part of the statement is correct, its their club but its NOT their money as they are in debt to the tune of £592m. With debt rising to record levels, shares dropping to record lows, they are still declaring and paying dividends. Anyone who has been in business will tell you that this is not the right decision. The fact is the owners are acting irresponsibility and this cannot go on forever. Their actions smack of owners who are milking the company for their personal advantage ahead of selling the business.

Caolan Singh

Some do understand finance and are not thick as you put it. Dividends are paid out of profits, however these were paid after announcing a loss. It means the Glazers are taking money out of the clubs reserves. All legally allowed, but as AAA puts it that’s milking the club.

Tucker,

We will sign players.

Red Man - spot on. Yes shareholders are paid dividends annually in most cases but from retained profit not from a loss.

Singh / Caolan - yes it’s the Glazers club but from an accounting perspective any shareholder wouldn’t expect a dividend based on United’s financial performance last year.

I don’t know the ins and outs of the NYSE but appreciate those shares are only part of the club. However as noted you wouldn’t expect a dividend from a loss making entity.

What it does illustrate is the Glazers will take their pound of flesh annually regardless.

Just chilll out guys and see who we buy, all i am saying some of you act like glazers ain't bought s player which they actually have but they spent it soo badly on playerss such as Maguire, Pogba and few others.

My point was I couldn’t really be arsed chatting about it any more.

Sorry if it comes across any other way.
