Ronaldo looking at an exit plan by the sounds of it. Been numerous murmurings this week and it looks as though mendes is offering his services to see who bites. He could also be trying to pressure the club to make signings so it's a case of wait and see. More negativity around the club isn't a good thing though, not in the current climate.

There seem to be limited options. Seems CL is his main motivation so only Chelsea are a realistic Prem option, and Bayern. Be a pretty tasty PSG team to have Messi and Ronaldo though!

No, he wants to leave. He has maybe 2 more years in Europe before maybe heading over the the MLS. He will want to spend those playing in the UCL so he can further his phenomenal individual records in that competition.

I agree Caolan. He played the board like a fiddle to get the move, and I reckon he’s going to play them like a fiddle again to get some business done!

Caolan, I think that is wishful thinking.
There were rumours and murmurs that Ronaldo wanted to leave before the season ended and it was clear we weren't going to make top four.
That wasn't about putting pressure on the board. It was about wanting to play in Europe's premier competition.
If there is a UCL club that is prepared to pay him then he'll go there.
I love Ronaldo, but not as much as he loves himself. He is driven by personal achievement, it's what has made him the player he has been.
Next season we will be scrapping about in the EL, while fighting for 4th place.
That isn't going to push Ronaldo. He wants to increase his UCL goal tally, he wants to get his hands on more trophies. There's a strong argument that he won't get either at United next season.

I don’t think Ronaldo will leave. Yes he wants UCL and to improve his medal haul etc but if those were the only drivers he could’ve gone to City and be guaranteed to get that. Maybe he would’ve never have done that out of respect for United, who knows. Maybe he was on the verge of doing just that when we intervened. If Ronaldo does leave it will leave a blemish on his United career. He came, he saw, he conquered, he came again, milked £500k pw then naffed off as soon as the going got tough?
Don’t see it but yeah I’m looking through red tinted specs sat writing this in a Ronaldo United too so maybe I’m just a teeny weeny bit less objective here!
