Gotta hand it to the Glazers . on the day they're taking 11 million out in dividends, i really thought they'd at least have managed to announce the keeper from Watford as a distraction.

Said it a few days ago, if this shambles carries on it's going to get very toxic before the season even starts. they've had 3 months to try and repair any gap between the supporters and the pathetic board. ten hag won't last til Christmas as his head will have exploded with the total Burke's running the club.

Transfer business is not conducted by the Glazers and the £11m distribution will have absolutely no impact on who we do or do not buy this summer. Management will have been given a budget and it will be up to them to secure the players the coach needs to begin the rebuild. and to try to rid themselves of the overpaid dross still left on the books. Our impatience will also not be a factor in the speed of negotiations, and nor should it be. The time to judge the summer ins and outs is at the end of the window.

The Glazer family won't be fazed by anything happening at the club. They'll use us as an ATM and when the time comes, they'll sell for billions. Trends on Twitter won't bother them, supporters protesting won't bother them because at the end of the day, the stadium will be full.

There will never be enough fans onside willing to hit them were it hurts so nothing will change until they decide it's time to go.

As for what's happening behind the scenes. It seems the massive upheaval in staff has had an effect. Still early days yet and transfers can happen very quickly but with the squad due back next week, it would have been nice for Ten Hag to have one or two new recruits to count on.

The Glazers will keep doing what they are doing and milking ‘brand’ United for all its worth. The global exposure is still there to create bucket loads of cash year on year. Dare I say it, but even negative publicity is a means to an end for them.

If the loyal fan base are serious about doing anything at all about it, there needs to be some serious soul searching and galvanising of the home faithful. Problem is, don’t think your ever going to get that. I hate to say it, but the amount of foreign football tourists you see at United is phenomenal and there’s always going to be bums on seats. The demo’s that were organised last year were also pretty low on numbers given the grand scheme of things. The only thing that will seriously put the cat amongst the pigeons (bar anything extreme) is people wrapping their season tickets in en masse. We need Mr Ratcliffe to make the leeches an offer they can’t refuse!

Shaw thing just a point, it’s far more beneficial to get players in early so ETH has time to work with them, so in one way your right judge at the close but let’s be honest this summer we needed to be proactive and to get things done early . Yet again it’s becoming boring and slow. Dragging every bit of excitement out of the window!
Yet most importantly it’s hampering our new manager.

Chris. Sign all the players on deadline day and you've saved millions in wages.

With that type of thinking i could be the DOF we need.

I think the Glazers are going to be pretty worried. The share price has effectively halved, their CEO has been shown to openly say the club burnt through cash and he also openly said the club needs major investment to improve the stadium and training facilities. This is probably the single most important season of the Glazers tenure as owner.

If we have a poor season this season, how do we attract players, commercial sponsorship and coaches/ managers next season. The wage bill and the debt are all very serviceable now BUT if it doesn’t go well this season and we buy badly, don’t get into the champions league again the exec team are going to have to seriously look at costs. Not to mention interest rates, most leveraged debt isn’t fixed it is basis points over BoE rate.

I think EtH will be a success BUT they have to buy the player he wants to play the system he wants. Must be a lot of pressure on his shoulders.

Chris, agreed. The sooner the better. But the team doesn't even start training until Monday. I can't see any major negative impact from not signing anyone until next week.

I'm sorry Shawthing but the United fan base has been more patience, the haggling is pathetic. If you want the player, then buy the friggin player. and I'm sorry the glazers do have input because they own the friggin club. They control everything and leach every penny out of it. can see ten hag lasting til Christmas then walking.

24 Jun 2022 22:59:39
Christ Ten Hag hasn't even taken a training session yet one week into the window and people are predicting when he will walk!
