I think timo werner would be a good shout under ten hag and the way he likes to play.
Dont shoot it down i know he's been a shadow of the player he was before he came
But haller wasnt exectly cutting up trees for westham and under ten hag especially in europe he looked a different player.
I get lower leuages and stuff but i think he is worth a shout.
Maybe see if they want martial in exchange ??.

Werner is a very good footballer, works very hard, excellent movement and really intelligent with his runs, opens lots of space for everyone else. He just isn't a good finisher and that was supposedly why he was bought.
Warner makes a team click and better as a wide forward.
Gets a lot of stick but that's solely because people judge him as a No 9.

I’d do a straight swap, we’re either stuck with Martial as no one wants him, or could give Werner a go. Chelsea aren’t that stupid I’m sure ?.

I'm not so sure. Werner seems to play his best football when given acres of space to run into and when he doesn't have to think too much and play more in instinct.
When presented with too many options he often delays making a decision and the space gets closed down. While if he can't use his pace to get in behind he struggles with his movement to find space.
For me he looks perfectly suited to a counter attacking team, rather than an intelligent possession side.
I'm not sure he's ideal for EtH's set up. I'd have thought someone like Luka Jovic might suit EtH's style better. He thrives from having players close by to play off of and uses good movement to find space. I wouldn't be against taking him on loan from Real Madrid for a season with a buy option. Could be a good way to bring in a player in a position of need without blowing the budget.

I could be wrong but did shappy not desperately want Darmian before we signed him? I remember there was a poster really keen, but I can’t quite remember who it was for sure.
