Not saying they aren't, but yet again too early to call. Timber is very lightweight and raw, de Jong seems a very good player but yet again playing in the premier League is a whole different kettle of fish.
I'll reserve my judgment if it happens and when it does, how they perform in a United shirt. Nowhere else.

I totally agree red whiskey we can only judge any new player on how they do for us I think the same can be said for the ones that will remain. It's a new begining for all imo.
I'm sceltical of course on all the rumours and I'll be sceltical if some players suddenly up their game considerably but I genuinely have real hope for the 1st time in 6 years.
I'm very optimistic we will improve and that we will see a lot of changes in the way we play.
Eth getting players that can implement his style is key.
I'm quite sure old Silva and existing Silva cope very well in cm in the epl because they suit the way city play despite being lightweight.
Take Silva out of city midfield and put him into Burnley and he would look lightweight I'm sure and hardly get a kick because he wouldn't suit the way they play.
Eth knows what he wants and I don't care who they are as long as they deliver during their stay.

Good to see optimistic Ken back on the page, even if he remains "Scelticle" ?
I think we are witnessing a much needed reset. Totally agree that every player if they stay gets a fair chance to start over, even including outcasts like Martial. I think we hit the bottom and we are now looking to see new sprouting shoots of hope. Even if our league position doesn't suddenly improve, I think we would all like to see a change in togetherness, playing staff, a plan and most importantly EFFORT.

Premier league is a different kettle of fish maybe but there must be 100s of non english players which have to make that jump. There is literally a handful of English midfield players that are any good so most of them come from abroad.
