I don't understand why people are excited about Darwin Nunes. The guys build up play is not existent and his first touch is horrific.
We slated Lukaku for having these issues and this guy is statistically worse on both fronts. Makes no sense as a signing for Ten Haag who plays a possession game.
Hope I'm wrong if he signs but just scoring goals does not make you what is needed.

Hes a kid, one of the best goal scoring seasons last season, performed in the UCL
Pace, strenth and movement.
Lukaku was a donkey with guys not.
He along with the likes of haaland are the next line of strikers under the right manager and set up nunez will be fire.

I was extremely impressed with him over the two legs against liverpool. Took his goals well, including the disallowed goals.
He works very hard, he’s direct and knows where the goal is. If he comes it’s because ten hag wants him and he knows more than us.

He has a few rough edges, most 22 year olds have areas of their game that needs improvement.
I think he has a lot of good aspects that could make him a good signing. Plus EtH is a manager known for developing and improving players.
For me the biggest concern would be the price. We really can't afford to spend 100m on a player this summer.
The rumours are that if we can't sign a top young striker, then we might look to sign a RW instead. With Rashford possibly providing the cover to Ronaldo as a central striker next season.
Signing someone like Antony, Moussa Diaby or Raphinha to play on the right wouldn't be the worst thing.
The other option would be to sign a cheaper striker to play a back up role to Ronaldo. Maybe someone like Patrik Schick from Leverkusen or even Haller from Ajax.

We have to sign a player that is going to play and impact the first team. So a versatile wide right forward/ Striker would be a good option. Would be great if Rashford could play there, but not sure we want to rely on him after last season form.
Nkunku, who was recommended by Ralf, could be an option. He creates AND scores, so might be a better balance with him supplying Ronny from wide right and added a goal threat.
Ronny, Rash, Sancho and Nkunku sharing the 3 forward positions seems pretty useful.
I don't really like the ideas of signing a player to play behind ronaldo. Ronny wants to play every minute of every game. But we clearly need back up. Better to sign a versatile forward than an out and out CF.

Dodgy, Ronaldo shouldn't be playing more than one game a week.
While we'll be playing two games a week for most the season.
I wouldn't be against having Rashford play as our starting striker in all the cup games and let Ronaldo play all the league games.
I think Rashford's skill set could work well as a ST for EtH and how he plays. If coached well he could really kick on.
For me Rashford has had one bad season, the previous year he scored 19 and assisted 11. Which considering he was injured and played many games with pain killing injections is actually a very good return.
This season everything went wrong. He suffered disappointment with England, missed pre-season after having an operation, broke up with his long term girlfriend, then the whole Ole getting sacked and Rangnick coming in and half the squad giving up. It's just a terrible season and a line needs to be drawn under it.

Forget rashford skill set let’s look at the whole package! His body language, his unwillingness to run, his unwillingness to work hard for our club, his attitude, the fact he looks like he’d rather be anywhere else than representing our club on the pitch!

Good lick selling that to Ronaldo Shappy. Like I said, he wants to play every minute of every game. He will be very disruptive if EtH restricts that imo.
