ETH terminating his Ajax contract early and will start work at Manchester United tomorrow. Erik means business, let's hope the club backs him whatever he decides. Van der gaag coming in and probably mcClaren. I'm cautiously optimistic on how this will go ??.

I doubt it - I think that's just wild speculation, could see him in 2-3 weeks at best would be my guess.

He’s said it himself, not speculating!
He’ll be starting this week . Game on!

Fab romano quoting the same so I can see it.

BBC reporting he is flying in tomorrow to start work and get staff and transfer targets sorted before he takes a short holiday and then back for pre-season mid June.

Love that commitment he cannot wait to get in and sort things out, maybe give a few home truths about what the players can expect next season and if they are not up for it then they can leave.

No, bfb, there is credibility in this-

'New Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag turned his attention to Old Trafford after taking charge of his final game with Ajax.

The Dutch side clinched a 2-2 draw in their final game of the season against Vitesse on Sunday after sealing the Eredivisie title earlier this week.

But the boss revealed he will not be joining in with the team's celebrations as he insisted he will be working 'intensively' on his new project at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag admitted he faces an uphill battle at his new club but insisted he has the energy to tackle the task.
'It's time to turn the switch now, ' he said following Ajax's draw. 'It's something that is needed because there is a lot to take care off and I have the energy for it.

'Tomorrow there will be a party with the (Ajax) staff, but I am not going to Curacao (a Dutch Caribbean island) . I think that's understandable. There is a lot of work to do there (United) . That is the case with every club.

'A number of things still need to be organised in the staff and also in the selection. We will be working intensively on this from tomorrow'

I have to say I am impressed by the cut of his jib! No guarantees he will work out, but certainly the right attitude to get things going.

The leader leading by example.

Having a long-term leader that acts like a leader, that introduces a take it or leave us code of conduct on and off the pitch will make a difference in itself. Add to that quality coaching, promotion from the youth ranks and additions that fit a widely acknowledged style of football and we’re being spoilt.

Seems more news outlets are confirming it now - some of you lads are really on the ball. ETH showing real commitment then, hope it motivates the team for the game at Palace - Brighton have been a bogey team for WHU - we need 3 points and then see what happens on south coast.

16 May 2022 16:11:41
If we win what happens on the South Coast is irrelevant . No?

yes Ken, you are correct.
