Sean Dyche getting sacked by Burnley shows that there is no loyalty in football. Whether you like his brand of football he has revolutionised the club, made them a fortune keeping them in the PL and turned down opportunities to leave.

First real sign of the drop and they kick him out. should have ridden it out and worked out bouncing back if need be.

For Dyche it may be the best thing to push him to take up a new opportunity next year. I am sure the teams in the lower end of PL top end of Championship will be all over him.

May be Everton can take a punt on him. ??.

He will be seen as unfashionable at a lot of places and not a sexy name. Someone like Watford/ West Brom who bounce up on and down should be all over him.

If you don't do it your out same with most jobs in most walk of life at that level.
He has has a very poor relationship with the owners for some time.
He did a good job for a long time but you can't take that to the bank.
Good move by club and a good move for him long term. Totally stagnated there both him and the team imo.

Like Ken says he has a poor relationship with the new owners, and my gut feeling was they would look to replace him for next season anyway regardless of whether they stayed up or not.

They just pulled the trigger early in the hope of getting a reaction from the players and staying in the EPL. If it works great move, if it doesn't and they go down the reality is they would have likely gone down anyway and would have been looking to hire a new manager this summer regardless.

Wonder if they'll go the same way as Charlton and Stoke? Two teams punching above their weight in the EPL for years under Curbishley and Pulis respectively. Fans and boards started getting a bit blasé about it all, wanting sexier football, sexier managers. Look where they are now.

True Stevie, there's a lot to be said for being a stable EPL club.

Yet it's human nature to always look over at others and want what they have.

You could add Wigan under Paul Jewell as well as a team that punched above their weight but then got grander ideas.

That said clubs like Bournemouth under Howe and Brighton under Potter are examples of smaller sides with much smaller budgets still being able to do well in the EPL while playing good football.

So it's not an impossible dream. I just don't think a club with a smaller budget, full of limited players, who are best playing a defensive style of play will be able to wave a magic wand and then suddenly produce great football.

If Burnley want to play good, entertaining, attacking football then they need about 15 new players with the skills and the quality to do so in the EPL. Even if they were able to find those players for around 20m each that's 300m, which would take a team like Burnley 5 seasons at least to afford. When you think the best players in the Championship go for around 20-25m now. Meaning you either pay huge fees for players who have a track record of success in the EPL or you gamble on players who have never played in the EPL and hope they can step up.

The smaller sides that do manage to do it, do so by buying good young players at the Championship level and developing them.

He will have a large list of suitors I think. As was said, West Brom and Watford seem an obvious fit.
