Maybe now is the time the players start to look at themselves. Just horrible today. Or is Ole at fault. Or Ralf. Or the number of games. Or the Christmas turkey. These players need to get a grip and realise that THEY are the problem. They need to start performing, or else ralf should ship half the team out and start the rebuild.

Atrocious performance. Maguire, Fred and McTominay are just not good enough, Varane looked like he'd missed a year of football, not 2 months and Bruno and Rashford are so out of form it's frightening. Ronaldo completely starved of service due to this and without it he won't be contributing much.
Lots of work needed and several changes in personnel for the next game.

I thought Scott was one of the bright spots last night. The front four, and Ronaldo, Rashford, and Bruno were shocking.

I'm confident it will come good (or at least much better), but last night was surprisingly awful given the opposition and the fact that we will have had a few weeks to prepare with a clean bill of health.
I do expect a signing or two in the coming weeks but no household names, so can only hope they fit into this system which got a proper scathing from Neville last night. A few weeks ago they were all marveling over this formation and how it will work, last night it was being torn apart for leaving the fullbacks exposed and being both defensively and offensively flawed. So which is it, ingenious or doomed to fail? If the fullbacks are so crucial in this formation it's interesting that the only changes to personnel Ralf has made has been to those positions. Dalot and Telles look like first choices again. Not against trying them out but they're hardly elite players.

AJH, if McTominay was a 'bright spot' then it must have been really terrible.
