in last hour its reported Utd only have 7 first team players unaffected which is why Brighton game is called off. The Brentford manager speaks a lot of sense saying let's cancel all games from today and try and come back Boxing day, see if we can't get a handle on it .
Too little too late I think.
That means making a decision again next week to see if a full programme can take place 3 days later which is probably unworkable though to be honest.

Maybe if they all got vaccinated so didn’t have to isolate for 10 days each time things wouldn’t be quite as bad. I think the premier league will try and get through this the best they can.

It’s already become unfair now between the teams who are able to get their games in and those who can’t. Certain teams’ fixture pileups could be very damaging. Also hampering their chances of any silverware as they may have to compromise in the cups.

If Utd only have 7 first team players available then they make up the numbers from the U23's or whoever is available.
A club has an obligation to play it's fixtures and players being ill should not be a reason to call off a game.
