The next few weeks could be a rather bumpy ride. I'm assuming we beat Tranmere, granted we've been poor but we really should have enough in the tank to beat them.

Then it's city in the cup, followed by wolves and Chelsea in the league.

If we lose all 3 of those games, which is entirely feasible, I think Ole will be sacked. We'd have been dumped out the cup by a major rival and falling further behind in the top 4 race, not to mention our previous 2 league games have been losses, so I don't think Ole will survive it.

However, I think we'll lose to city, but I only narrowly as they'll likely be a little less aggressive given their 3-1 lead, lose to wolves, who let's face it, are much better than us at the moment, and then beat Chelsea, because we'll likely turn up for that game, and that will be just enough for Ole to scrape by and continue for the season.

I wouldn't assume anything at this point 😂.

City are a better team than us. Laporte is back which is a huge boost for them.

Wolves have been a tough opponent since their return to the EPL. They knocked us out of the FA cup last season as well as beating us in the EPL.

Tranmere, on paper is a win. This is the FA cup. Shock results happen.

Will. OGS get. the sack. i'd he loses the next 3 games?
I'm my opinion no. The Ed's have already said United are reluctant to sack him. I'm clutching at straws here, but if Pochittino was to be our next manager, I think Slurs would be owed money within a certain timeframe if he got another job.
That is, if the reports in the press are true?

Realistically he is here until the end of the season. The club may wish to. give a new manager a a pre season etc. Also if they buy players now would the new manager want those players around?

The brutal truth is that we are shambolic. 5th place is an the achievement in my opinion. Were four ate that other clubs have been so poor this season. The harsh reality is we may indeed find ourselves I'm a relegation battle since there is only 13 points that separated us from the relegation zone.

Talk of relegation again 🤦‍♂️.

We're not getting relegated. I mean, sure, it's possible, but highly unlikely. I think 10th or so is entirely feasible, as is 4th. We'll finish top half of the table but likely outside the top four, and I think the only way to make a good case for us getting 4th is if the next week has us signing two decent midfielders and a new manager.

4th nowhere near attainable - but clearly we won’t go down!

When Martial was out earlier in the season. Rashford was getting really slated around that time for such poor form. I believe Martial made his league comeback off the bench in the liverpool draw at home it was only then Rashfords form picked up. During the period Martial was out we won 1 league game out of six, 2 defeats and 3 defeats. I'm expecting similar type of form now again I don't see us getting 4th. Every chance chelsea have given us we keep blowing it.

The point I was making was that with a bad run of results we can easily slip down the table. The problem us we are low in confidence.

25 Jan 2020 19:45:05
2 defeats and 3 draws I meant to put. Sorry.

Completely agree Mad Hatter. Imagine an injury to Martial or Greenwood or even both. Who will score the goals? We struggling for goals as it is. We desperately need a player or two.
