Not seen any comment on Neil Ashton as our new head of PR. I found him such a bore on the supplement but he's clearly holds a lot of power in sports media.
For me its this kind of story that makes me think the club will be sold in the next 2 years. Bad press affects does nothing for share price.
It could also be viewed as a protection for the board/ manager.
I believe Ed Woodward had no intention of firing Ole because for as many mistakes as he has made, and he's made a lot, he now realises that there is a plan in place over a couple of years to finally tuen these last 6 years of a mess around.

The initial plan was to sell in 2017, but I think that plan was set out before Malcolm Glazer passed away.

What his children want to do now and with the potentially changing financial climate in Britain with Brexit looming who knows what they want to do. There was rumours that a couple of them want to keep the club while a couple of the others want to sell up and cash out.

I'm not sure whether we can say that hiring Neil Aston means they are looking to sell up. It just means they want to bring in someone who can specialise in media public relations. Which considering the bad press the club often gets, is long over due.
