Brand, it is all about the brand for the senior executives, the image of the club to sell it to sponsors. Right now no matter how they spin it the brand is in trouble, interest is waning, players want to leave and don't want to come, players don't want to play, don't put effort in when they do, crowds are starting to dwindle. Yet stillWe look backwards instead of forwards. This is on Woodwards watch, this is on a board who seem stymied to make a decision over the useless manager. If they keep on this path, will the club be unattractive to any decent manager, how long will the like of a Poch or Allegri be sat there. The lack of decisiveness is frightening

Red man, coupled with the fact that half of our midfield is injured, the other half is useless, and the club are not buying any midfielders. We have someone like lingard, who has been totally useless, trying to lord it over the club.

The whole place is a shambles. I wake up every day in the hope that I read that DOF has been appointed, but nothing happens.

Good midfielders are available, Grealish, Fernandes, van der Beek, but we do nothing. If we were bringing anyone in this window, should we not have got them early in January to help the team out?

Solskjaer is just another mistake in the countless mistakes the club, Woodward and the board keep on making. Until change at the top happens, we're going to be in the doldrums. Solskjaer or no Solskjaer.

AAA

Couldn’t agree more. The manager is only one of the problems.

There isn't going to be a brand if we carry on like this.

I couldn't agree more with all the points made here. When you put it into context we are still one of, if not the biggest clubs in the world yet we are run like a sunday league side.

What proven top class manager is going to want to come into that with instant pressure and scrutiny due to the lack of backing and general footballing knowledge from the people above? Because at the end of the day its the manager who ultimately gets punished.

Change from the bottom up is desperately needed.

Exactly what I have been saying for months Red Man. The ineptitude from the powers above is plain to see and Ole is taking a lot of flack. Some deserved but most of it should be aimed at the amateurs running the club.

There is blame above Ole, said that for years but we need to deal with that issue because the board won’t sack themselves.

Ole knows he won the lotto getting the United job and he also knows he'll never get near another major club management job, so he's not going to rock the boat regarding transfers .

It was the same with Moyes when he came in .

It's hard to see any real change until the owners sell up. And then, we need new owners with genuine interest in sorting the footballing side of the club. This is not a quick fix, but the sooner this happens, the sooner the club can start recovering. Sadly while 70,000 keep paying money to watch, and millions buy shirts and other merchandise, the owners will sit there content in getting their £100m annual bonuses.
The sad part about it, is that it doesn't have yo be this way. The owners could invest in the ground, the staff, the facilities, a DOF, good players, good manager, and that will lead to "the brand" being extremely popular and will make them money while keeping us moaning idiots happy. They have chosen the cheap option, the option that requires the least amount of work. Snd this has lead to the deterioration of the club in every part of the business and most importantly, the footballing side.

I agree with that, NoMid :)
