So, if Ole got sacked, who is actually available/ or willing to join the club given that it isn't being run well?

Then there is the DOF which the club don't seem be interested in appointing one.

Not sure if ED001/ 002 can answer this, but do you think the club would struggle to attract a top manager now, given how the club is being run?

{Ed002's Note - Mauricio Pochettino.}

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2020 09:05:54
How would you rate him as an option going forward for us Ed?

{Ed002's Note - I cannot easily do that - the problem is the attitude of the amateurs that run the club.}

04 Jan 2020 10:42:31
Thanks ED002.

Is it a know it all attitude the club have?

They believe they are doing right and wo t be told otherwise?

{Ed002's Note - The problem is that the coach is not up to the job, the advice over some transfers is being ignored, the decision whether to throw money at transfers under this coach has not been made - it is amateurish.}

04 Jan 2020 11:43:03
If it’s a case that Pochettino is interested, we should be doing everything to get him. Sort the manager position out and then address the other issues we have. Easier said than done tbh.

04 Jan 2020 11:25:19
Thanks, ED002.

May I ask whose advice is being ignored, or will that open up a can of worms?

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - It is unimportant.}

What's it's got to get to for them to start running the club proper?

Relegation haha.

{Ed002's Note - It needs gutting and news staff from the five assistant managers up.}

04 Jan 2020 13:54:10
Ed02 when you say amateurs does that mean Ed? The board? Or the owners? Who in your mind is the main culprit for the mess we are in?

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with the owners.}

04 Jan 2020 14:25:11
Why are owners not at fault ed002? If the people running the club are as inept as you claim, the responsibility of getting rid of such people falls on people above them.

{Ed002's Note - You need to understand the structure of the entire business - and Manchester United supporters seem to not understand at all.}

04 Jan 2020 14:36:37
I don't know the structure of man utd but it is clear that the board or whatever passes off as upper management at utd is responsible for the rot that has set in and only people with power to remove those and replace them with better ones are the owners.

{Ed047's Note - it seems to me that Ed Woodward is untouchable because he brings so much money into the club

04 Jan 2020 14:56:47
Does he actually bring in much money though? The tifo guys did a video on his financial performance as utd ceo in recent years, the sponsorships or matchday income aren't really growing. It's the tv money that is making things look rosy, on the other hand int expenses are going up, so are the wages.

There isn't any attempt being made to improve the stadium to increase the matchday incomes, the lack of actual success on field will clearly hurt the commercial incomes sooner rather than later. Not to mention there is a direct hit coming next year unless utd qualify for cl otherwise the adidas money clearly goes down.

{Ed047's Note - I don’t know is the honest answer but there seems to be a constant stream of new partners added and I’m assuming that comes from him.

Would he not have been responsible for the Adidas deal when that happened CSM?

That’s been a mystery to me for a while too mate, with all this perceived money available how has a spanky new stadium been built that the fans in there numbers would have turned into a new Theatre of Dreams.

You should have a larger version of that awesome stadium Spurs have built.

04 Jan 2020 15:42:29
Ed047 and that is the reason why in my opinion nothing will change until we stop making so much money.

We are putting off field success before on field success.

Whereas both could flourish if run proper

Soon it will be 10 years since a challenge.

But ed Woodward is doing what he's paid to do.

{Ed047's Note - it’s crazy Bolger because as you say they should go hand in hand.

You’ve had in reality, as much money as City, but one club is going one way, the other club the other.

How is that being allowed to happen, who has taken their eye of the ball.

04 Jan 2020 16:13:08
I might be wrong but don't the experts say the money isn't in "bums on seats " anymore? how much would it cost to add 20,000 seats . including all associated costs - then how many years to recoup the money . Compare that to signing 5 tractor-noodle-matress-companies each paying 3-4 million quid a year - yes they could tart the stadium up but with facebook-netflix-Amazon and all the phone companies being the future for revenue streams I don't see much being spent on the stadium. Lots of talk about the phone giants, Netflix, Amazon developing APPS for monthly United content (and other clubs obviously) let's say 3 dollars a month with 5 million subscribers is almost 200 million per year . its the future apparently.

04 Jan 2020 16:20:26
Ed for all the constant stream, the nos aren't actually increasing though, they have stayed mostly stagnant for last 3-4 years. I will give him credit for getting the chevrolet deal rather than the adidas one, adidas deal looked big because we were the 1st one to get a big deal, Barcelona and real's just a few years down the line show, it wasn't as much great negotiation as being 1st in line.

The stadium thing is just criminal, i have been to the tottenham one when i was in london recently, OT is a dump in comparison.

{Ed047's Note - that’s not good CSM, it’s clear to me that under our respective clubs that it’s the coach who is going to be THE most important thing to get right.

Our set ups are not great but if we can get the teams at least playing consistently to their best we have half a chance of getting the right players in and moving forward.

We are to early to say if Arteta is the man for us but in my opinion OGS isn’t a good fit for you and I’m not attempting to get involved in that ongoing discussion.

As for the state of all your facilities, it’s criminal.

04 Jan 2020 16:44:15
I too am trying to stay away from the ogs debate for a while unless someone says something particularly crazy like making up klopp's early record to make ole's look good. Everyone's said their peice and made up their mind and now it is upto the club to make its.

I do feel bad for the guy at times though, looking at the players we are being linked to won't be surprised if we sign no one, and that will mean end of the rope for OGS.

I think next year this time around, you should get a clear idea whether arteta has it in him to be a good manager or he is just another fancy ex player brought in to pull the wool over fans.

04 Jan 2020 16:57:27
I don't understand what people want from the 'facilities'? For somewhere to sit/ stand to watch a football game, Old Trafford does just fine.

Free wifi i think MancMan so they can upload their favourite selfies and keep in touch with the outside world whilst the team keep boring everyone on the pitch.
