Away from the present scenario and back to the past, how about all of us sharing on how we became ManUnited fans.

For me, I was a cricket lover right from childhood as I am an Indian and cricket still rules the masses. I used to watch Football only during the World Cup and knew nothing about the other leagues until the 21st century began.

It was by accident that I started watching United as I was switching on channels on my tv and there was some highlights of a ManUnited game going on and they were probably a few goals down. And the way United got on with it and put pressure on the opposition time and again, the never say die attitude and the passion for winning was hard to miss. I was impressed and watched more of them and became accustomed to the United way. The way the team used to fight it out, the passion, the desire and going till the very end, the fergie time and the way they came back and won matches time and again was just unbelievable. I became a fan from then on and I was lucky enough to witness the likes of Christiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Ferdinand and Vidic making the step up at United and having a wonderful career from thereon.

I am a die hard fan of this club and that isn't going to change even if I end up in the grave. I would like to hear from others on how they became fans of this great club.

One word - Giggs.

I wasn't that into football until THAT Giggs goal in the FA cup against Arsenal. Every thing about it just seemed impossible and I've been hooked ever since.

That's probably why I'm so excited to see another pacey welsh winger running down the left for us again!

Similar story let's Play given that we belong to the same place. I probably watched the highlights of the 99 CL season and heard of a certain Manchester United. A friend at school was already a fan (he is on this page as well, well he was. He walked away by all the hounding couple months ago. Quite an addict he is) . Anyway, not to digress, the actual phenomenon that attracted me towards the club was a certain unknown called David Beckham.

It was probably the Spurs game that you are referring to. We were 3 down at half time and won it 5-3. It was one of the games i watched probably for the first time as a united fan. Then on United has been flowing in the veins.

Hi shan.
Yes there was quite a hounding after united addict. The ironic thing is those hassling him signed off from here recently tell him to come back now the they have gone.

UA gave as good as he got, if not more. Hounded is a bit of an exaggeration to say the least. Can't throw a lot of hostile posts around, then throw your hands up and play the victim, if people come back at you.
