As I say its a funny season. The great Poch loses to Leicester who the worst United in history managed to beat last week. Bizarre.

Comments like this are tedious. 99% of people who watch football would rather Poch in charge of their team over Ole. Context is huge. A manager who has consistently delivered with a club who have a smaller transfer and wage budget of teams they consistently finish above, whilst moving into a new stadium, improving the majority of their players. Play with a clear and concise plan. Done a good job at previous clubs. Going through a difficult patch after a champions league final loss. And you're using this a stick to beat fans who have a problem with our manager?

They would have won if VAR hadn't ruined the game though, to be fair.

Regardless of the result today poch is a good manager.
Did spurs have a player sent off today.

21 Sep 2019 15:05:09
oh come on mumbles poch isn't doing that well of a job they lost the most games in the top 6 than anybody last season already lost 2 this season. What wonders is he really doing with spurs. Sure they got top 4 last season and reached the champs league final which they lost. Spurs an poch ain't doing that great for me.

We need to keep our own house in order - not worry about what others are up to. Spurs having a poor start to the season doesn't nullify ours. If our 'rivals' are faltering then we need to be taking advantage of that, not using it to justify our own results.

On a side note, for all those who want us to sign James Madison did you see his 6 grand back pack before the game? Horrendous!

Should fit right in at United.

It’s not tedious, it’s pointing out that irrespective of how great Managers are, thIs season is bizarre. Right now I am not drawing any conclusions. It may have changed now but Norwich, who beat City last week are 2 down to Burnley.

Mort by the same logic tottenham smashed crystal palace who we lost to.

21 Sep 2019 16:13:55
Mumbles what trophies has he won?

He's a mentally weak manager who produces mentally weak teams.

21 Sep 2019 16:48:11
Mort you will be telling me pep is a bad manager next.

21 Sep 2019 17:22:06
Mort, if Poch gets sacked tomorrow, he wouldn't be waiting around long before a top club gives him a call. He is an incredibly impressive manager. It may be that his time with those players is coming to an end, maybe they have reached their ceiling.

Whatever peoples views on Ole are, I don't think belittling a manager who has been very impressive over the last few years is the right way to prove that Ole is the right man for Manchester United.

21 Sep 2019 17:22:39
CSM I said exactly that last week. Palace got smashed after beating us. Its been a crazy season so far which is the point I was making and only Tony got. Also I had a dig at Poch as I think he's over rated. He's a good coach but not a great one until he wins something. And I don't think he will as he seems incapable of taking the next step.

Jred pal Peps a good coach. There's no denying it. But he needs to win the champions league again. Also I'd like to see him go somewhere and show he can do it when things aren't all on a plate for him.

21 Sep 2019 17:32:13
Mort there was no denying it before city pal .
Poch is a good manager as well.

21 Sep 2019 18:07:41
He still needs to win something though. I can't see Poch at the very top clubs until he wins something. He may to move to a club on the next rung down. But the questions of his teams mental fragility remains. Is it the players or him.

Jred he's a good coach. He improves players. But he's always had it easy going to the best team, with the best squad with the biggest cheque book. He failed at Bayern in not winning the champions league and so far City haven't impressed in that competition. I'm just saying I'd like to see him go to a club where he hasn't got everything on the plate at the start.

It woukd be interesting to see how Pep did at a lower team but there is one thing which is undeniable. If you have the chance to play with the most gifted technical players who have the right motivation ie hunger to win then your chances of winning trophies will inevitably be greater than with players less technically gifted no matter how hungry their desire for success is. If Pep coached such players and they didn't win trophies he would still be a great coach.

So if you're in a position where you're the most desirable Candidate and city offer you the highest wages and largest transfer budget and say arsenal offer you less for both, you would choose the arsenal offer?

Hello everyone, First post here! Here are my 2 cents on Poch and Ole. Yes Poch is a good manager and might have done good at United, but I think we should get behind Ole at the moment and give him more time. We made a mistake handing him the job before the season ended, but now that he's the coach, he needs our support. He's trying something new and there would certainly be some downs in the beginning and sacking him would only create more instability and unrest within the club. I strongly believe he can put up a title-challenging team at least by the end of the 2021 transfer window, if given the financial freedom he needs. Thanks for reading.

Agree watery eyes as long as the team are showing improvement.
