I know Sanchez hasn't performed and is a bit of a loner, but he does try on the pitch and gives his all. He just needs to get some confidence back and could be a positive. We have him with us and he is not going anywhere, so we need to hope he works with this new system it may just click!

Mate, you make GDS look like a pessimist. How anyone thinks Sanchez will suddenly turn up is beyond me. He has been absolute plants and it is clear he is not wanted, I’d be amazed if he gets a game.

You could apply that logic to Jones and Young!

15 Aug 2019 22:24:05
I don't think so Wazza. Young will play in the Cups and Jones may get a game in the cups depending on Smalling's fitness.

I can't see sanchez getting a game though. James would be fist choice Left, Chong right. greenwood striker. and both mata and Gomes at 10.

I can see him getting frozen out, unless he suddenly starts producing magic in training.

There's definitely a player in Sanchez, it just hasn't worked out at United, time to let him move on.

When it comes to Sanchez i agree with Ed001 assessment he made earlier of him playing out the whole year and not resting his body at all is having effects on him. It does take a toll eventually.

{Ed001's Note - the real question, imo, is whether a good rest could see him get it back or whether he has just run himself into the ground and is finished.}

16 Aug 2019 07:10:02
I doubt a good rest will help him much to be honest. He has been with us for 18 months now. And the most football he has played has been with Chile. Not even on the bench most weeks.

Unless he has a Carlos Tevez back to his home country for 6 months off I can see how he can have much more rest.

We were doing pretty well up59 the point we signed Sanchez, his arrival saw Martial and Rashford lose some form. No matter how badly he played he kept getting picked, and his salary must have caused unrest the dressing room. I think it’s one of the worst signings we have ever made.

I'm with you AJH on this one.
I thought that sancez would turn out to be a star player under ole at the very beginning. But he has been abysmal. He just is not the right type of character. I think he will do a lot better elsewhere. He is miserable and it shows in every aspect of his game. He is a loner.
I accept the club gave him a contract and they imo just have to cut their losses try to agree some sort of pay off and give him a free transfer.
We are into him for over 60m i think so assuming he can get a contract and signing fee for 25m elswhere he will have his hand out for anywhere between 20 and 40m id imagine.
Otherwise we get left supplementing this wage for the next 3 year's at about 300k a week.
No matter how you look at it it was the worst transfer in our history in every single way.
I just hope greenwood gets to clobber him one more time before he goes😂
He goes down with the likes of falcao bastian di maria and veron as players that have been completely underwhelming.
Bebe kleberson prunier djemba, were a cheaper way to lose a mini fortune.
For those that can remember birtles davenport alan brazil graham hogg were the budget way to lose what was then a fortune😂.

We should be fine to keep paying his wages Ken, now that Moyes' wages are off the books 👍.

16 Aug 2019 14:05:34
We might be still paying Jose's wages though 😂.
