“The narrative that Pogba is bad for the club is untrue, everyone at the club loves him. He will have a conversation with everyone, no matter who you are. Everyone has spoken to him, from the youth team to the cleaners. In training, he would always say ‘if you don’t know what to do, pass it to me even if I’m marked’. ”

Interesting quotes about pogba, seems to be misunderstood by many fans.

The way he is on the pitch is not misunderstood. Also what's not misunderstood is the fact that he WANTS to leave.

The way he is on the pitch is simply our best outfield player and pretty much sole chance creator.

Does anyone honestly blame him for wanting to leave a club that does not look adequately set up to challenge for the champions league and premier league as a club of its stature and resources should?

Angelred,
But does he want to leave? IIRC he said “now might be a good time for a new challenge”. That might have been due to the way the season ended last term. possibly and that this pre season and the way the style of play has very clearly changed ‘might’ have changed his mind. again possibly. Now I might clearly be wrong but I’m not aware of him actually saying categorically that he wants to leave and he appears not to have put in a transfer request. His agent has said the player wants to move on but we all know what an arse he is. In any event even his agent appears has gone quiet on this front so who knows. If I’m wrong I wonder why no transfer request has been submitted. I hope one of two things happen. Either Pogba is content and with the new style of play we will start seeing, consistently, exactly what he is capable of or he gives the club time to get a replacement. Granted that time is running out fast. Worst case scenario is he pulls a stunt after our window closes but non UK clubs can still buy and he then asks to move.

Yes I blame him. He turns up when he wants to and often appears not to be putting enough effort in. Perhaps if he justified his world record fee and turned up more regularly then we would be in the Champions League. I’m so tired of people making excuses for him.

Agreed AJH.

27 Jul 2019 18:47:37
Yes he does want to leave. This shouldn’t even be a question.

Ed002 has consistently told us that Pogba has been trying to push through a move since the start of last summer. He hasn’t handed in a transfer request because it would impact his share of any perspective transfer.

Most time spent walking in the entire league last season. A highlights player that expects others to put in the hard yards covering for him defensively and creating space for him offensively.

If he is still at the club when the window shuts, the club will rightly be viewed as amateur fools.

27 Jul 2019 18:54:56
He is not consistent enough to be termed world class.
He may be humble person and talks to every person from top to bottom in the club but it never shows on pitch.
He never takes responsibility.
Some times I wonder if he had hererra's desire and hunger what level of player he would have been for us.

27 Jul 2019 18:57:37
Yes he does want to leave. He should be and will be sold. Its best for all parties.
The club have known for more than a year he wanted out. He should have been sold last summer. He wasn't he didn't accept it well. 1st hiccup this season and he will be Johnny big balls again mouthing off.
He is an extremly talented player. He is our best player but i believe we will be a better team without him.
In my onion before the window closes maguire fernandes and sms will be in and pogba lukaku darmian and possibly sanchez will be out. Baillys injury plus the fact nobody wants them should save rojo and jones.
Fred may go on loan but i doubt it.

If he finds some form, people we descend of the moral high ground and support him .

27 Jul 2019 19:07:47
Ajh, but there were so many reasons that we didn't make the champions league last season:

1.) we had a manager for the first 19 games who had practically thrown the towel in

2.) Not having two centre backs who could pass a football on the pitch at any one time severely hindered us.

3.) Not having a settled option at right wing, mata, lingard, rashford, martial, lukaku, dalot, sanchez all had stints there.

4.) Not having any attacking options from our full backs.

Are any of those reasons pogbas fault? No, he was and is the least of our worries when it comes to constructing a top quality outfit.

27 Jul 2019 19:23:14
Pogba is still the best outfield player in the team.

27 Jul 2019 19:23:52
The previous Manager called him a virus. Allegedly he preferred his chauffeur driven fancy car to the team bus, when he should have been leading the team he was nowhere to be seen. It’s not all his fault, but he shares some responsibility. Instead of rolling up his sleeves and being the leader we need, he fancies a fresh challenge.

27 Jul 2019 21:20:06
Who is taking a moral high ground position jred?
He wants to leave are you suggesting we make a player stay against his will?

27 Jul 2019 22:13:57
If he states that he wants to leave sort the most lucrative deal. But he, Pogba, is our most talented player so build around him. I’m seeing more opinionated bollox than reasoned argument re Pogba atm.

27 Jul 2019 22:44:30
Pogba has two years left on his contract and has zero intention of extending.

How can you build a team around a player that won’t be here when it’s actually built?
