Ed002 i regret to the below thread where you replied with really good insights thank you.
I agree totally with what you say.
If we can get maguire and fernandes done and resolve the uncertainty surrounding sanchez pogba and lukaku
If all 3 leave a rw and a cm such as savic would need to come in to replace them.
I like perisic he has a good onfield attitude anytime I've seen him i don't mind his age our forward line lacks experience if lukaku and sanchez were to leave. But he is another lefty where we are over loaded.
Dybala is a talented player but is he right for epl and united?
Whats his best position?

{Ed002's Note - You are right about Dybala - he needs to play somewhere behind a striker in an AM role. Perisic works if Rashford plays as a striker - at least for a couple of years. Not sure Pepe would work.}

Agree2 Disagree0

Once again thank you Ed002 for your insights.
Personally, I wouldn't go for Perisic considering his age and playing position.
We have lot of attackers who can play on the left.
However, Pepe would walk into the RW role. He offers goal threat and is at the right age to invest.
But there is a risk involved in terms of his adaptibility and attitide issues as Ed mentioned.

Let's see if United use DJ/ Mata or Greenwood as stop gap for RW role and return for Sancho maybe next summer if we qualify for CL?

Thanks for the great information below ed.

We appreciate it

If I can ask as I've searched but can't see anything. Has Sanchez got any takers or is it a case of us keeping him or cut are loses and agree to part ways in some sense.

{Ed002's Note - No, the money is the issue.}

22 Jul 2019 13:21:40
That was my thinking truereddevil stay away form perasic and if juve offer dybala in a deal for pogba with cash it would be stupid of us to keep pogba when he doesn't want to be here

We would still get a decent deal if they put dybala forward. But that's if he would join.

I would agree play greenwood/ james or even Chong and try and sign Sancho next summer in an ideal world.

Just read the thread beliw. Very insightful of you ed.

Ed002 i agree but there is also martial to consider either on the left or as striker. i'm not sure he would like to be back up for either role although it where i see him just now.
James is predominantly left also.

{Ed002's Note - As you know Manchester United will be open to a good offer for Martial - but nobody is interested in him. Maybe this mess will be sorted out by the next coach?}

22 Jul 2019 17:10:13
Hi Ed,
Thanks as always for adding perspective and clarity to the drivel regarding transfers and the club put out by the papers.

Twice in the last day you have teased something about the coach ("sorted out by the next coach" and "I suspect much will happen with the coach going forward") . Could you please expand of this, if possible.

Thanks!

{Ed002's Note - OGS is not the solution for the long term.}

22 Jul 2019 17:46:25
Thanks Ed, that's consistent with your opinion and many of the posters (myself included) regarding OGS.

Just a couple of follow ups on this:

1) Is this the view of the club as well (or at least some influential people at the club)? Perhaps another sign of the disjointed approach at the club, with coaching hires being made on a whim without proper vetting and agreement.

2) Are the club aware of this and already planning for his departure?

{Ed002's Note - (1) Some are less than happy. (2) There are no preparations to replace him.}

22 Jul 2019 17:53:23
Talent wise, Martial ranks up with the best. if he really bothered.
I think this year could (or better should) be his last chance at this club.
At this rate I see him being at a team like West Ham or Crystal Palace in a couple of years.

Thanks ed.
Yeah martial is a cunundrum.
Im not surprised there is no queue for his services.
It will be interesting to see how the season starts.
Your comments are appreciated by all on here in sure.
It will be interesting to see how the season stats.
Im sure henderson will go on loan possibly garner too. Do you know the plan for tuanzebe? will he stay if Darmian rojo and one other leave? alternatively go on loan if we can't shift them?

{Ed002's Note - Plan is Henderson goes to Sheffield United but the delay in MU sorting this out means that they are left in the "lurch" right now. I am not aware of any plans for AT. I cannot answer a quastion with two names and "one other" - taht is hopeless. I have no idea if he will go on loan.}

Until he's give a fair crack no one will know.

I hope for footballs sake that he is successful and he proves many wrong

We Re already starting to get a reputation of sacking the manager when it gets tough.
