If we get offered anything close to 60 million for lukaku in installments we should take it. we won't get offered that again.

As for pogba, he will be gone by August hopefully, I know ole has come out and dismissed any bids etc but there is definitely something in it.

I have had enough with the transfers now, Chong, Tunazebe, Garner, Greenwood and other youngsters can fill the void.

I say this all the time but clubs like Dortmund and ajax train there youngsters and then move them into the first team to play regularly.

If we are Manchester United why don't we do this instead of buying mercenaries.

If you think we can go into the season not replacing Lukaku and pogba adequately and relying on youth, then we will have a torrid season. Everyone wants to see youth flourish and make their mark, but it’s so unfair to put that pressure on them. They need seasoned pros to be guiding them and helping them to settle. Let’s see what happens but you are very naive if you think we can just sell pogba and Lukaku and expect the academy players to play with the consistency and confidence of seasoned pros. Even if those seasoned pros have been very inconsistent.

The pressure for instant success has become a major roadbloack for putting the youth/ academy graduates on the pitch.
Many managers are therefore not willing to take the risk.

Moreover the current United squad lack characters and leaders for the young kids to lookup to.

We need a RW and CM regardless of whether P*gba and Lukaku leave, and I think we will sign players for those positions.

I don’t know why you think we never give youngsters a chance. We do blood youngsters and have done for years, more than most PL clubs.

If your old enough your good enough, it is up to the management to keep them all in check and level headed.

Its about time we played the youngster and stuck with then and got behind them rather than crucifying every mistake on the pitch.

I would happily sell the below and use the academy to cover them until the right player with right mentality comes along.

Rojo
Pogba
Lukaku
Darmian
Young
Matic
Jones
Smalling
Sanchez

Ship them all out.

Big V, It has been done to death. It is difficult to shift mediocre players sitting on huge wages.

I would keep smalling and matic. I think if matic is managed properly he could still do a good job for us and smalling as frustrating as he is I think he's a great pro and on his day has Put in some quality performances and still could but as back up.

Big V be realistic. “you’ll never win anything with kids. ” 😁.

We need a CB and a couple of midfielders especially if Pogba leaves as expected.

However, I think we could leave RW for another year, and I don't see the point in signing a striker for the sake of it.

With Dan James being signed we can play him left and push Martial up top if Rashford (who is clearly Ole's first choice) is out. I also feel Greenwood has a really good chance of stepping up and playing a role this season. Plus I don't think we will be able to sell Sanchez. So there seems little point signing a striker to play back up/ rotation. Is Rashford good enough or ready to step up? I don't know, but I think we will find out this season.

As for RW, we have Mata, Lingard, Dalot, Sanchez, James and Chong who can all play there. We also have set up on numerous occasions under Ole with a 4312 type formation that doesn't play with wingers. So that could be an option as well. I think it makes more sense to spend next season trying to sort out a deal for Jadon Sancho next summer.

If we can bring in a high quality CB partner for Lindelof, and two first choice midfielders then we will be in good shape for next season.

Dias or Milenkovic then Saul and Fernandes would be a great summer.

And what have Ajax won recently and I don't mean the eredivisie championship which is very poor? Yes they play nice football and yes ideally we would like young players breaking into our first team and playing consistently but surely what we need is a) players who are good enough at the very highest level b) have the right mentality ie not divas and c) a mixture of youth and experience.

Salford, I'd bite your arm off for a CL semi-final place, right now.
