The way it's going, it looks very likely that Pogba will remain at the club for 1 more year.

Juventus don't seem to be wanting to pay in a full cash deal and do Madrid have the funds after the big signings they've already made?

I wouldn't be upset if Pogba stayed one more year if he kept his head down and fully focused on performing well. Then the club could work quietly behind the scenes with potential buyers and we could see him leave gracefully at the beginning of next summer.

That would require 1. Raiola to shut his gob and stop spouting BS to the media and 2. Pogba to also keep quiet and focus on being a professional footballer.

Unfortunately I can't see this happening and I am fully expecting an ugly saga where Pogba leaves as a villain.

Agree1 Disagree1

Too much fantasising in your post Weggy.
He won't get his head down and is agent won't keep his mouth shut.
It's best for all parties if Pogba leaves as soon as possible so we can get him out of our dressing room and re-invest in other players.

Yep, Pogba and Raiola have been vocal because they have been encouraged to by perspective buyers. I don’t think we will lower our valuation, and neither Juve or Real can afford that. If it drags into August it’s going to be painful - Pogba trying to force a move, and no possibility of bringing in a replacement.

That’s why I think the club need to come out and say that no player will be forced to stay at the club, and Pogba can leave if a suitable offer is made. Put the pressure on Real and Juve before the window shuts, and don’t give Pogba the opportunity to control the narrative.

His agents antics are intented to put pressure on the club and force through a sale. He wouldn't be doing that if there wasn't a real chance of a move happening.

We are about to embark on our toughest season since Sir Alex retired. We need to clear the decks and bring in the right type of player to build. However, fans should be aware that will leave us fighting it out with Arsenal and Chelsea for fourth place. The fans need to accept that now and not throw out toys out the pram when it becomes clear that 4th is the best we can hope for. That is why this will be out toughest season.

Therefore, we can't afford to have the Pogba circus distracting us all summer. The club needs to do a deal as soon as possible and let the club move on.

{Ed002's Note - You seem unable to grasp how transfers work.}

Thing is why is pogba bit telling his agent to be silent.

This is was is annoying the fact stuff comes out in the press all the time.

If he wants to move keep it I house and go about your business professionally.

Hes still got 3 years left so we don't need to panic and sell him and in knowing the way they both work if he isn't sold it wouodnt surprise me if he signed a new deal before the end of the season.

{Ed002's Note - You have known for a year about this. Now you are all whiny about his agent.}

10 Jul 2019 13:03:34
Waiting a year could suit all parties tbf. If real don't have the space or money to buy him this year it gives them a year to get rid of some their excess players.

Also if pogba stays and helps us get back into the champions league we will be selling next year from a more strengthened position as we can attract the appropriate calibre of player to replace pogba.

{Ed002's Note - Rubbish.}

10 Jul 2019 13:30:57
It's fairly simple boys, pogba wants out.

10 Jul 2019 13:34:52
I'd say its frustration. Pogba wants out and has done for a while. Raiola, I'd imagine is just doing his best for his client.

I'd like to see pogba get his move, providing that we get the correct player. But I highly doubt that will happen.

10 Jul 2019 14:43:48
Best business all round would be to agree a suitable deal for pogba to leave, he doesn't want to be here and it makes no sense to keep an unhappy player at the club. All very well Ole saying we don't have to sell we are Man Utd but seems pointless keeping a player against his will.

10 Jul 2019 15:01:37
For me, this is the club trying to swim against the tide.

We have a player who has wanted to leave for the last year.
His attitude has had negative impacts in the dressing room.
There are clubs interested in buying him.

In a situation like this it is in the club’s best interest to work with the player to find a solution in which he can be sold for a fair price. If we could recoup something close to what we paid for him it would be a good deal for everyone.

In contrast, we seem to be pricing him out of a move, and making it more difficult to find a solution. Yeah, the club doesn’t ‘need’ to sell, but it’s better for the club if they do sell this player, and I think that’s the crucial thing.

10 Jul 2019 15:03:27
im not fussed about him wanting out, just go about it in the right way.

his agent seems to be the one whining about it.

10 Jul 2019 15:07:03
Then the club need to accept a compromised fee which could have been done before the rest of the squad flew out for pre season.

Even if it potentially means accepting a fee less than what we paid to bring him in, they need to make a decision.

10 Jul 2019 15:34:02
Although it is obvious he wants to leave I don't believe he has yet formerly requested a termination of his contract and a transfer. It's conceivable that the club are trying to put him and his agent in the position of having to make the request. If he and fat bloke had any honour they'd do the decent thing and make the request in timely fashion in order that we can arrange a suitable replacement. Snakes playing games for extra money!

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what you mean about requesting the “termination of his contract”. Maybe you just know rat shit about this whole matter?}

10 Jul 2019 16:13:47
DSG why should united compromise a fee when the player signed a contract for a set number of years, he can't then just say oh i want to leave now and then we have to make a loss.

regardless if he wants to go or not he singed a contract so he should abide by the contract or if a team come calling who is willing to pay what we want then he goes.

although that's not what is going to happen it should be. players come and go YES.

but all parties should act in a certain manner, and atm his agent is not.

11 Jul 2019 16:47:03
I hope posters will, with some speed stop this argumentative nonsense.
Do you not see it is nobody's interest to keep winding up Ed 002 who continually supplies top notch reliable info which most of value.
Every year idiots make 002 go silent just at a stage when the transfer window is hitting up.
Please show some restraint otherwise it will not just be the Eds who get a little narked with you.
