Do you guys think we would add 1 more forward to our squad?
Because at the moment, we have Sanchez, Lukaku, rash, Lingard, James, Mata, Martial fighting for 3 spots.
Surely we need to move 1 or 2 if we are planning to integrate Chong or Greenwood to the squad.

(Sorry Ed's, I had a problem with my Space key for the past few days so used dot to separate words. )

The problem is that the club are actively looking to move Sanchez on and are happy enough to sell Lukaku. If both leave then we have a starting forward line of Lingard, Rashford and Martial with an aging Mata and a new to this level James. As well as the kids.

If both Lukaku and Sanchez leave then I think we will sign another forward. Sebastian Haller wouldn't be a bad shout without breaking the bank. Would offer an option of a target man who can actually finish as well as bring others into play.

We have the same issue in midfield but much worst. Of our travelling squad for the tour we have ten players listed as midfielders. However, that includes Mata, Lingard, James, Gomes and Chong who in reality will play wide or as advanced midfielders. That leaves Pogba, Andreas Pereira, McTominay, Matic and Garner. That gives us 5 players who can play in midfield, of which Pogba is likely to leave, Garner is a kid and Matic is on the decline. Midfield is in need of a serious upgrade?

Offloading Sanchez will resolve a massive issue.

If Pogba leaves, we will probably need a new midfield.
I'd like to see Bruno, Saul and Longstaff in a midfield 3.
With Fred, Mctominay and Matic deputising or rotating.

A midfield of Saul, Longstaff and Bruno is a massive upgrade even when you factor in the loss of Pogba.

Then rotate Matic, Fred, McTominay and Andreas Pereira.

Sanchez will be hard to offload. The club will likely have to take a bit with him. Be that paying him off, or even loaning him out and paying some of his wages. Its looking like an expensive mistake.

If lukaku leaves have you guys thought about Salomon Rondon as replacement? i like how he works his socks off for the team, how he holds up play and he is a goalscorer too.

Rondon is a bottom half player. Works hard, but isn’t good enough for a team hoping to challenge for trophies. Nowhere near the quality required.
