I may be an optimist but Pereira signing a new deal feels like a new signing. I don't think he has played to his potential but a full pre season with ollys style Imbedded I feel he could contribute next season.

I feel its a make or break season for him this year. He's had loans. He had a couple of appearances last season and looked either good or poor. This season he needs to push for a place. Maybe not as a starter but as a good squad option. If not I can see him going next summer.

He was played as a holding midfielder by Mourinho. He is a number 10 and possibly a winger.
Like all players he needs to the time and effort in.

I feel he needs to first find a stable position for himself, sometime he plays as a RW, sometimes as a CM or a holding midfielder.
He definitely has talent but needs to use it to full potential, so far he has been average at its best.

I've always thought he is too slow, not physically but mentally. He gets the ball taken off him and is sloppy at passing.
However I do like his spirit and I would love to be proved wrong, but I don't think he will ever be at the level required even for a top half team.
Agree with Mort this could be a make or break season.

You’re spot on about being a bit slow mentally Wazza. Seems to dither on the ball and get caught in possession. I’d like to think maybe that’s down to not enough game time. His loans have not really been beneficial. He should have gone on loan in the premier league so he got used to the speed. I hope I’m proven wrong. I’m still happy with him as a squad player as he is one of the few players we have that has real quality from dead ball situations.
