I’m personally delighted with the Wan Bissaka signing. I think he’s exactly what we need and could turn out to be a very shrewd signing. We have had issues at right back for years and finally we have two young and very talented players to choose from. Eds what is your view on wan Bissaka?

{Ed001's Note - if you didn't have Dalot I would say it was a great signing. It does seem a little odd unless Dalot is already being considered as not good enough at right back. Otherwise surely it would have been better getting someone with experience to help guide Dalot, which you will be lacking. Still, Wan-Bissaka is a good signing either way, probably the best one-one-defender in the Prem.}

Yeh that’s a fair point ed. Personally I look at it from a different perspective that it’s great finally having some depth in that position. I think there is plenty of games for both to feature. AWB would be my 1st choice. I can see Dalot playing at times at lb or on the wing. Personally I quite like the idea of him as a wing back in a back 3/ 5. The only worry is that him being shifted about so much could possibly be detrimental to his development. He does not want to become someone whose decent in all positions but exceptional in none. Interested to see how this plays out.

{Ed001's Note - I had forgotten Dalot could play on the left, that does make a difference. Shifting them about as youngsters should help them, it all comes down to their attitude and willingness to learn something from a different role.}

I like the idea of shaw and wan bissaka in the full back positions and james and dalot on the wings in a 4 4 2 formation.

Out of the current possible options at right wing of sanchez, lukaku, lingard, dalot, mata, chong and greenwood.

Dalot seems like the best option out of those.

Dalot had played very well on the wing and certainly knows how to cross.

However, the transfer window isn't shut yet. The club may sign more players. That may include another winger.

For now, let's think of it as we have 2 up and coming RBs.

The good part about ole is he has seen a fair bit of problems and tried to work on them.
1)Fellaini. He basically booted him out.
2)He's shown how he wants to play.
3)He's dropped Lukaku
4)He has bought a RB and a really quick winger which to me are signings that add much needed depth in our squad.

2-3 signings and the club could very well be a top 4 club this time around.

Wouldn't call dropping last seasons big money signing solving a problem. Additionally think Fellaini was a scape goat at united for a long time. Never a first teamer but he is a game changing substitute who scored goals and won games with that same header at the back post game after game.

Every team that intends on playing overlapping fullbacks will need at least 3 if not 4 quality options if they are to challenge for honours.

If there is a weakness in the current Liverpool side it is a lack of depth at full back. TAA and Robertson have been phenomenal for Liverpool this season, yet they have been lucky that neither of them really suffered an extended period out injured, as Moreno and Clyne are a big step down.

Yet at United we had Shaw and a young Dalot, with players such as Young, Valencia and Darmian covering. Two of which are likely to leave this summer.

Signing AWB to be first choice with Shaw at LB gives us two good young full backs. Then we will have the experienced Young and the exciting prospect Dalot as back up. The fact that both Young and Dalot can play on the left and the right as well as more advanced gives us added flexibility.

Next summer Young will need to move on and we will need someone else to challenge Young at LB, Tierney or Aaron Martin.

Rohan, I'd disagree with your post on all of those points.

1. Fellaini was a player who gave it his all for the club whenever he played for United. We all know that he isn't as talented as a Pogba but he more than made up for it in his desire and commitment. Yet he was booted out and Pogba stayed and Ole has since repeated that he wants to build his team around Pogba. If Pogba played with Fellaini's commitment he could be the best. So, how is that in problem solving.

2. We do not know how Ole wants to play. There has been no rhyme or rhythm to his teams in the last 6 months. So no he hasn't shown us that

3. Lukaku is the only natural striker at the club and he outscored darling Rashford even though he hardly played post Ole coming in. That is not a problem solved rather one created.

4. I will give you AWB, based on one season but that's it. Who is dan james really. isn't he a left winger? How many of them do we have and did we need another one? We needed a RW, so yet dan james isn't really a problem solved.

Next year, Liverpool, City, Spurs and Arsenal will all be above us based on current teams. We will no doubt add a few but so will the others. Wolves might challenge and one can never count Chelsea out.

So a little disagreement there. Now let's focus on the India England WC match today.

UA,

I'd disagree about point 2. OGS tried to play at a higher intensity.
The lack of fitness in the squad was clear to see as the engine ran out of steam after 70 minutes.

As far DJ, we've just signed him and already your on his back.
Get behind the kid. For £15 million he could turn out to be a fantastic signing.

Lukaku was overweight last year and ball control is poor at best.
His attitude is questionable aswell. He wants to leave the club.

MH, i ain't on his back already mate. He could go on and become a brilliant player for the club no doubt. My concern is that we bought where it wasnt a burning problem. We want a RW and yet go on and buy a LW.

Lukaku wants out, but so does Pogba and De Gea. Herrera already out. that's 4 of our first team starters either out or wanting out, surely more than just an attitude issue for me. Its more of a worry that all our better players don't want to b here. And Lukaku really doesn't have an attitude and most will tell u that.

1. Fellaini was never good enough to play for United. Never should have been signed. He ran around a lot. Sure that's more than some do but he was never a United player. Even his attitude was questionable. Hawked himself around Europe before trying to screw us over for more money. No loss.

2. We clearly saw what Ole wanted to play upto the Liverpool game. Injuries and the squads lack of stamina disrupted that.

3. Lukaku was unfit and overweight last season and has probably been looking to leave since January going off comments he's made.

UA, James might well on the RW next season. We don't know. I agree, we need a RW as well.
